is this compatable with plastic tub drain set up?

yes, you should not have a problem at all. Most of the drains out there for tub are plastic. All you will have to do is get the linkage set right and it should be fine.

My trip lever and drain is the older style where the linkage lifts or lowers a plunger that sits in the top of the drain. Will this replace it?

I used ever thing but the bell because the new bell was to small. I replaced the new bell with the old bell. Still works like new. 😍

The brass pin is missing. How do I get just the pin?

Easiest way is to take it to the hardware store and they will sell you a pin for about $1. If there are missing parts you would have to return and they will replace with a new one.
