Analog Wireless Headset System

This product is WONDERFUL !! My husband is very hard of hearing and always wanted the TV on so loudly it could be heard all over the house. Since getting these TV ears and hooking them up, he is now able to watch TV with it totally muted or if someone else is watching they can set the TV volume to meet their needs and it does not affect the volume for him through his headset. He states that if even helps him hear what is being said over other background noise in the movie, which before he could not always do in spite of turning up the volume. We both love the product. For him he is enjoying TV more because he can hear the speach more clearly and if others are in the room talking or other household noise is going on, (like the washer running, etc.) it does not make it harder for him to hear the TV. For me, I can keep my sanity because I am not one bit hard of hearing and the loud TV would almost give me a headache, and certainly put my nerves on edge. I don't have that problem anymore. The one drawback to the unit is when it is put back into it's cradle each evening for recharging for the next day, if the headset itself is not turned off, it does not charge and so is not usable the next day.

(from Joan) I loved these as soon as I put them on. Perfect sound quality, easy to wear. But suddenly, on day #3, the battery was dead. Fortunately I guessed immediately what the problem was. I'd been charging the TV ears without first turning the volume control all the way off. Now I wait for the "click" - which is easily felt, before placing the unit back in the charger - and the TV Ears are working perfectly. The only thing one has to know is which type of TV Ears they should order. Fortunately my husband Ron is an engineer, and knows all this stuff. He said Analog was fine for my use, hooked them right up, and I was good to go.

Not AT ALL what I expected. Equipment looks like it is from the '80's. No sound from these ear buds no matter what I did. Comes with TWO cords for different ports. NEITHER WORKED. I know the ports are good because I use it for other earphone devices. The only thing great about these was the disappointment.

Very easy to install and start using. The ear buds are adjustable and the controls are easy to understand and use. Not heavy on your ears.

I purchased this for my father in law. His hearing is not what it was. We tried a Bluetooth speaker. It worked but wasn’t easy for him to switch between audio from the TV speakers or the Bluetooth speaker. This unit connects to the TV audio ports and uses infrared to connect to the headset. It works great and the TV speakers work at the same time so my mother in law is happy!

These headphones/earbuds worked ok as far as the ability to transmit the tv sound with some limitations. Unlike some of the other reviewers, I found the power/volume and tone wheels relatively easy to use. However, I am returning this product based upon key features that I feel are missing: 1. As mentioned, the sound was "ok" but had practically no range; it was mostly lower (bass) frequencies. This would be vastly improved if the "tone" adjuster would boost the treble (higher frequencies) at all. As is, the adjuster made no difference. 2. The headphones need a direct line of sight with the base unit. If anything is in front of the base unit, there is a white noise sound that interferes with the TV signal. 3. I have partial hearing loss in my right ear, and there's no way to balance the sound between my ears. 4. Needs a mute button. I would prefer not to have to listen to commercials.

He probado varios transmisores bluetooth y este es el único que consigue el sonido sin retardo. Es el mejor con diferencia, el más cómodo, el emparejamiento del transmisor con los auriculares es instantáneo. Solamente hecho en falta una entrada de sonido óptico para evitar tener que comprar un dispositivo conversor de RCA a óptico, en la mayoría de los televisores la salida de audio auxiliar es óptica.

I use TV ears every morning, as being an early riser I don't want to disturb the rest of the house. My last TV ears eventually became too old as I had them for many years, and I needed a replacement. I did try other cheaper makes and I had problems setting them up. Interference from the router and other issues. In the end they were returned and I got the TV ears. You really do get what you pay for. Yes, there are cheaper products like these on the market, but they just are not as good, I've tried and found out the hard way! TV ears are very simple to set up. The sound quality is so clear and the headset is comfortable to wear. You can move about within the room with no drop in quality. I haven't tried the range in the rest of the house as I don't want to wake others. One comment is to check if the plug is for the UK. Mine came with an American two pin plug and no adaptor. Luckily I already had an adaptor, so this wasn't an issue for me. If you do buy these, you might need to also get an USA to UK adaptor as well.

Casque très léger et parfaitement adapté pour écouter la télé sans déranger l'entourage. Les premiers de ce même modèle étaient très fragiles au niveau des branches (j'en ai cassé deux), mais ils ont renforcé celles-ci sur les modèles récents et sont donc plus solides. Son correct, réglable en théorie au niveau des graves et des aiguës mais pas en réalité (dommage et donc à améliorer). Le problème est que l'on s'habitue et que l'on ne peut plus écouter sans ce casque.

It is a great unit and very helpful for someone with a slight hearing problem. The voice clarifying is just a gimmick, but everything else is fine. It would be ideal if the unit could be voice controlled individually for right and left, since most people have a better ear, but it is working OK the way it is.
