perfect for odd installs
my 1992 volvo door cars were never designed to carry a heavy speaker even when brand new- certainly not 30 years later. After countless mounting attempts, i switch to these in the dash and they are FANTASTIC. The way that they pivot makes it possible to get really close to the windshield on final install

Added more highs to audio

Sounds great, a couple issues.
The issues, there's a small piece of Styrofoam stuck behind one of the speaker grills, I've tried popping the grill out, but it won't move without the grill starting to bend. The second issue, the speakers will not stay in place. The ball and socket use to hold them, just does not hold them firm enough. I had to unbolt the ball and socket, and using the sticky side of a Post-It note, I stuck them inside the female part of the socket, and then tightened everything back up. Now they don't move. But overall they do sound great, I think they made a big difference in My overall sound system. They don't handle a lot of power, only 50 Watts RMS, but I am running about 130 to them at the moment with no issues, but the signal going to them is very clean. And you do need a little bit of room behind the a pillar at the mountain, about an inch and a quarter. Just be aware and newer cars there are airbags in the a pillars, just something to be aware of. It does come with the inline crossovers, and a secondary set of capacitors. You do have to limit the frequency range to 400 HZ and up. If you don't have that adjustment, you will have to add the second set of capacitors. And the Spade connectors do have locking tabs on the female side, they will not come apart if you do not push that tab, you will just pull the wire out of the connector.

Love these so much I bough a piar for each of my Subaru's A-Pillars
LOVE THESE! enough I bought two pair, a pair mounted just above the dash on my A-Pillar's on both my 2014 and my 2020 Subaru foresters. added a pair of 6.5 Mid-bass door speakers in the front doors and these together with a good DSP amp and tune and the system sounds incredible! They come with an included passive crossover or you can active bi-amp or even add a mid-bass and active tri-amp them if you are serious about your sound and have enough amplifier channels available for the best tuning possible.
