Does it prevent saliva from soaking through?

No. It will get wet. I washed it consistently as it always seemed dirty. It did not prevent our son from trying to suck his thumb.

My daughter sucks on her middle and ring finger. Will your product fit on either of those two fingers?

It will not fit on those fingers. Frankly, this product is a flimsy waster of money. The material is so thin and stretchy that my daughter easily pulled them off. They charged almost $13 for a piece of spandex the size and consistency of a tissue. We ended up going with a velcro bandage that was not made for this purpose but worked much better. You might have better luck looking for something like that.
