Does this product work with ingrown hairs?

No but it will help you. This will soothe cuts or nicks from shaving with a sharp razor like a safety razor or cut throat razor right after it happens so that’s you don’t bleed all over your clothes. For ingrown hairs After 20 years shaving a thick beard on my neck and face I’ve tested every method for removing ingrown hairs and irritation. One thing works. Moisturize whatever the problem area is with a fast absorbing moisturizer 10-12 times per day. Ingrown hairs happen when hair grows back into the skin. Applying moisturizer keeps the new hair follicles slippery and new hairs slide off rather than grow in. Once you’ve curved the problem, start leaning to shave with soap and badger brush and straight razor.

How long do i let it sit on my face before rinsing?

I usually leave it on about 30-60 seconds or so. I wet the stone then run it over the shaved area of my face. Then while I'm waiting, I'll rinse my brush which takes about 30 seconds to 1 minute, then I rinse my face with cold water.

Is it necessary to use this and the proraso after shave?

If after first shave that you have shave bumps. I recommend post shave stone.
