Method and madness
Before I begin, I would like to submit a list of factors that I find relevant to a review of a product like this; we have well water (hard water), not fluoridated, chlorinated city water; I have long, wavy to curly hair that is of medium coarseness; I am white. Now, using this product isn't as difficult as it seems from other reviews, but it is very specific. My method is as follows:wet hair thoroughly - 2 minutesstart with a few pumps of product at a time, working from scalp to ends, and front to back (up to 15 pumps) - 3 minutesscrub scalp with fingertips / nails as if I were a mother treating a lice infestation patient - up to 5 minutesdo all other shower stuff - ???rinse well, shaking and scrubbing as needed - 2 minutessoap down the backside (slick, sticky back does not equal clean feeling)roughly towel dry, then wrap to absorb excess moisture, braid, get in bedThis method leaves my hair clean, soft, and feeling healthy. I am a fan of the No-Poo system in its various forms, but this works well, without stripping my hair. Also, my husband doesn't complain about my hair reeking of vinegar! Speaking of smells, I was skeptical at first about the scent for this Ren Pure conditioner - I had previously tried the sweet pomegranate. When it comes out of the bottle the mint is very potent, but as you work it into your hair the rosemary starts to shine through for a most pleasant combination, particularly if one uses a bit of it as a leave-in. (which I only do on the rare occasion that I blow-dry my hair - a singularly disturbing experience)Overall, the performance, scent, pricing, and form of this hair cleanser are all magnificent assets, with which I wholeheartedly recommend it to everyone who bothers to ask my opinion on such things.

Why did I ever hesitate?? AMAZING
I don't usually write reviews but....Amazing product! I used the "no poo" method for a long time, which balanced the PH of my scalp nicely, but unfortunately because my hair is so long (below my hips) the ends were getting too dried out. I really didn't want to go back to regular shampoo and conditioner, as I knew the harsh chemicals would wreak havoc on all the work I'd done to cut them out in the first place. I tried Wen for awhile, and although it had more chemicals than I would have liked, I did enjoy it. However, it was insanely expensive and I couldn't afford to keep it up. I made my own cleansing conditioner using all organic oils and essential oils, with a specially chosen "base" conditioner (btw, if you have the time to do this it is well worth it!) but because of an increasingly hectic schedule I kept running out before I had time to make more. Enter RenPure. I was hesitant to try this, as I'd seen a lot of cleansing conditioners that just weren't effective or had too many fragrances, chemicals, etc. The RenPure product is indeed a bit thinner than Wen as some people have mentioned, but I've found that this only helps it to last longer as a little goes a long way. I was using a whole bottle of Wen every 2 weeks, but I've had this product for almost 2 weeks now and I've barely made a dent. Don't forget - I have extremely long, thick hair that is very fine. This product cleanses well and leaves a beautiful shine, but does not leave a greasy residue or weigh my hair down. I was at my wits end, because my hair had started to be unruly, frizzy, and weird, which it never had been in the past....but after only a few uses of this product, my hair is back to being luxurious, soft, and smooth. It is not weighed down so the natural slight wave is back, but it is no longer frizzy which is what some of the other cleansing conditioners left me with. The scent is also pleasant! I love essential oils, and rosemary/mint was a combination I used when I was making my own cc. I also have the coconut co-wash and I love that as well!

Nice product ..use more than recommended..rinse and re rinse..
First let me tell you I have a little grey and color treated curly hair. Then, on top of that I have a low thyroid. The combination made my hair break and brittle. I kept cutting it because it just was horrible. I prefer my hair longer..So, I needed some help. WEN is too expensive and it has some preservatives I would rather not use. This product though not organic.. Seemed like a better alternate..The first bottle I had I just went with it. It left my hair heavy but at least it was not stripping my hair. But, upon purchasing the second bottle I read some of the tips by other users. It worked..you need to use more product ..not less which seems counter productive. I use 5-6 pumps on the front and back of my head and 5-6 pumps on the sides and really rub it in. Then, rinse throughly. I rinse twice.. First, I wash before I shower and rinse then re rinse in cool water before I get out.. I let my hair dry naturally. I ended up with soft bouncy curls and my color though it does fade..it does not like with shampoo..It lasts a lot longer..It definately has help me a lot...with my color and texture..
