How fast does this heat up?

It takes about 30 minutes to heat up. When planning to use for your first massage of the day you’ll want to plan for at least 30 minutes to 45 minutes before they arrive! But once it’s heated to your/their comfort, it feels wonderful!

Does it have that plastic stink so many heat pads have?
