GREAT boots, BETTER price!
These boots are awesome!! I've been hiking in them for about 3 months now and so far they've held up super well. Almost all of my hikes are 15+ miles, so I was looking for something that would hold up to that kind of wear and tear and these have yet to disappoint. Even after 20+ mile days my feet feel pretty good. The tread on the soles is super rugged and grips well on most surfaces. The boots are also super lightweight, so that's another nice bonus. They aren't terribly water proof, but if you're just splashing through some puddles during your hikes these do the job and they dry pretty fast. Depending on the way you lace the upper portion they give excellent support to your ankle. I've been wearing them with the insoles that they come with and they feel just fine to me and provide ample arch support (medium arch). I've also noticed that the laces on the boots - contrary to others' reviews - work just fine. I've never had them come untied on me. Highly recommended!!!

Outstanding Light Hiking Boots
First Impression: Very light in a nice reusable zip-lock packing bag. They look just as online -- sharp. The seams & stitching look good, clean & tight. The shoe toe is rubber & blends with the color scheme. I like the wolf paw prints on heel. First Wear: Felt awesome as I put them on, “Ohh, these are gonna be great.” These don’t need to get broken-in because they are so light & comfortable. Trail Test: Over three days in Joshua Tree, these boots hiked twenty miles with ease across dirt, sand, and boulders. I added Superfeet insoles for my preferred arch support. The large tongue kept out the dirt/sand. The seams & stitching held up perfectly. And my feet felt great. I have NOT received any compensation for my objective review.

Nice shoes I'd buy them again.
The reason I didn't give 5 stars is the design of the tongue. The top lace hook digs into your ankle through the tongue and feels like there is no padding if you try to lace them tight. And the water resistance of the shoe stops at the ankle because the tongue doesn't have that water resistant flap at the top. I'm not looking for a work boot or a rain boot, but when I wear them on a hike I expect them to keep my feet dry if I step in 3 inches of water. They are comfortable though and for their size surprisingly light weight. The grip of the soles though is simply amazing in all directions. I literally can't wear them if I'm at home and walking on carpet. They make you confident in your steps without fear of slipping.

Move Over Nike and Under Armour... There's a New Shoe Sheriff in Shoe Town!
Quite simply, these shoes ROCK! They are the most comfortable all-around-utility boots, cross-fit, workout, parkour, and just "chill and hang out shoes" I have ever owned...and I've owned A LOT of shoes. I bought some Samuel Hubbard black leather Frequent Travelers a while back, and I thought THOSE were comfortable and supportive for your feet. And those shoes will always be great for the office. These shoes, however, take it to the next level! Comfort, utility, design... BAD-ASS SHOES ALL AROUND. I bought 2 pairs of each, suede (TAN) and sneaker (BLACK). So should you :)

Light Duty
I purchased this boot as I needed something quick and didn't have time to go to a store. I read water meters, so I'm walking several miles a day, in and out of the car, grass, concrete, wooded areas, etc. I've previously been wearing Keen and Irish Setter boots which will last 4-6months. Though the Keen boots have not been holding up as late. I was also looking for something a little lighter. The boots were light and comfortable out of the box, and fit to size. They look good, and were indeed lighter. The waterproofing was solid for a tennis shoe style hiker. I was out in 30 degree weather for 2-3hrs in the rain, and my feet were dry(though cold). The shoe lace clip broke after 2 weeks, which I ended up returning them for this. The sole would have probably lasted 2 months, as it was wearing pretty quickly. There was slight fraying of the fabric in places. Final thoughts-- For the out in the woods hiker, or occasional user wanting something comfortable and light in warmer temperatures, this boots will work. For someone wanting a daily boot in multiple terrains, I think you'll be disappointed with their long term stability.

NOT too good to be true
For the price, I assumed these would be a temporary measure, since quality hiking boots usually range in the hundreds, dollar-wise. I stand EXTREMELY corrected; these bad boys withstood five straight weeks hiking, climbing and mucking their way through some of Colorado's most unforgiving terrain and elements without so much as a tear in the fabrics (which are very supportive, well put together, and comfortable) or any breaks in the sole. The laces can loosen up a little; but if you double-knot them, it's a non-existent issue. The grip and traction they provide is ridiculous and saved me a ton of energy on several very steep hikes. I'd buy these again in a heartbeat. Very good arch support, not to mention the ankles. Virtually no break-in period required.

A lot wider than expected
I really liked the looks and the weight of these hiking boots. A lot of the reviews said that these ran narrow in width, which is exactly what I wanted, as I have a B/C width foot. Even with a very thick pair of socks, these were still way too wide. The boots showed to be a "D" width but felt more like an "E/EE" width.

Good shoe for trail hiking
Good shoe for trail hiking. Spent three hours walking in five inches of snow and feet did not get wet. This shoe does not claim to be waterproof but my feet stayed warm in the snow. The soles are strong enough to keep rocks from bruising your heels. Very good support on uneven terrain. This is not a waterproof shoe, crossed a creek and the slush soaked through, feet stayed warm. This is a great trail hiker shoe and thus far has held together fine. This shoe grips fine in snow and on wet surfaces. I hiked in powder type snow. The only issue that I have encountered is the material that supports the upper ankle. The material is stiff and agitates my ankle. I skip the top lace and this lessens the shoe pressure on the ankle area which resolves the problem. The price is much better than name brand shoes typically purchased in sporting centers. In summary, good shoe, good price, good hiking experience, good product.
