Can i use at 15 psi in pressure cooker?

Absolutely be sure lids are closed tight. I made the mistake of having them a bit cracked and my liquid boiled out. Also fill water in pressure cooker as high as the water is in the bottle.

Can these be used on a magnetic stirrer with a hot plate?

Some of the bottoms of mine are insanely uneven, but i have used them on a hot plate with stirrer and i have also used them in a pressure cooker and they have had no real problems so far.

How do you exlain one of mine cracking from thermal shock when I added room temp water after being microwaved for thirty seconds?

Very poor tempering, poor quality glass. I doubt these bottles are really borosilicate. I’ve had the same thermal cracking issues. From now on, I’m buying real Corning or Kimax.

Sturdy and easy to see the fluid inside

Sturdy (thick glass), easy to see contents. I use it for mixing up model engine diesel fuel and storing it. I wasn't confident that it would be air-tight, but it was easy to put an o-ring in the cap just to be sure.
