So much fun to play
Loved playing the game. We had so much fun. It was challenging, but not too difficult. I liked that it was interactive. Good value for money and I hope they release more.

Fantastic family fun
I love this brand of mystery game. It is thorough and provides clues in a timely fashion. This is fun for anyone 13+ so we had a great time working together to solve the mystery.

Fun, but not my favorite
This game was fun, but not as great as the first case. I should also note that the game billing itself as a "murder mystery" on the packaging is a lie, it's a heist mystery.

Excellent Game! So Much Fun!
Surprised my hubby with this for our NYE in date night! We LOVED it! So much fun! A quality product! Money well spent & can't wait to do more! Loved how social media and smartphone are incorporated. Very well made and put together so professionally! We are beginners to this genre of game and successfully solved the case. It was challenging but not too hard. Highly recommend!

This didn't really work for me
I should note that I played this by myself. The story was pretty decent, although it's not an unsolved "murder mystery." There was a ton of information to track. The game uses a system where the detective is supposed to call you a few times. I was in the middle of going through all the paperwork and taking notes when my phone rang and the detective was giving me information about something, which I won't spoil, but I had no idea what he was talking about because I hadn't yet put together the information that would let me know what he was talking about. I thought it was an error. It feels like there should be a trigger for phone calls so the game knows you're at a certain point. I sort of managed to figure out the solution, but it didn't make total sense...maybe I missed something. I was also able to figure out the puzzle aspect OK, although it's weird that there wasn't a more obvious clue for the cipher, which was one of few things that would need to be *solved* rather than just...deduced.

This was fun as a group activity!
My family enjoyed figuring out who stole The Midnight Crown. No spoilers here! It was fun. The only downside is that itโs only playable one time as there are no alternate scenarios. But it is interactive as the inspector calls you to fill you in on clues. There were 3 of us playing and age range was 30โs, 40โs, and 60โs and sometimes it was hard to figure out the next clue. Great gift! Worth the value of it also.

Sexually explicit /sexist imaging
I know a lot of people who are used to women being sexually objectified and presented as disembodied sexual parts in advertising and media won't think much of this, but for parents or women who have more self respect and are aware of when women are treated in a demeaning way, you need to know that in the newspaper in this game there is a photograph of a woman's backside in a thong. It is what we call disembodied because the head/identity is removed and she is presented as a sexual part only, and it is a close-up. This kind of sexist imaging (for we do not see an equivalent photo of a male in a thong, close up of his backside) is problematic in 2023. As we become more aware of the male game and how it dominates women's lives, we should be watching out for the messaging we give to our children. This game is advertised for 14 and up, and you might expect children have seen such things all over media before, but when your family sits down to enjoy a mystery game they aren't expecting pornography or imaging meant solely to serve the male gaze and create male sexual arousal. What a conversation we had, and it wasn't about the gameplay. I have played about 30 - 40 of these mystery games from various companies and not one of them has ever included such sexually explicit material. If I wanted to look at a woman's backside, there are more than enough places to see that in media and on the internet. This was supposed to be a family game night and it turned into a discussion on sexism, how sex is used to sell products, and what a stupid idea it was to include this photo. We were left wondering what purpose it even held, because it was just a butt for no reason at all, and not even a whole woman/person, just a butt as usually see women be turned into pieces and parts and not integrated and presented as complete human beings. The people who made this game need to mature since I feel like it was made by frat boys with a low level of maturity, or worse, someone who enjoys the idea of presenting sexual materials to children and this is one way of getting their jollies. If the game had simply kept it family friendly and for the correct age ranges as advertised, we would have purchased more from this company. Back to Cryptic Killers, Hunt a Killer, Unsolved Case Files, etc. I've spent hundreds of dollars on these types of games because they're usually immersive and fun, but this one treats its women and girl players as less than and sees fit to treat us as just body parts for males to enjoy. Why anyone would include that in a game marketed as appropriate for 14 year olds is bizarre.
