Bentgo Kids Replacement Tray, Transparent Cover, 5-Compartment

I bought this for my kids' lunches at parent's day out. They like all their food separate, lunchable style, so this worked well for keeping their turkey, crackers, fruit, etc. separate. The tray and cover aren't leak-proof or insulated. You'd need to get the bigger outer case that bentgo sells for that, but this worked well for our needs and was a lot less expensive than the bigger case. Turns out, we use these for everything. We take lunches to the park, meals to restaurants that don't have anything my baby can eat, etc. They have been worth every penny. It saves the trouble of buying reusable plastic bags for lunches. These trays can be easily washed in the dishwasher. I would highly recommend.

So glad I found these, they are perfect for my 18 month old to have his daily lunch in. Often I dont even have to fill all the compartments with foods. They are perfect size for a standard lunch box, and I fit slim ice packs above and below to last until lunchtime. The center circular cubby is pretty small, use it for ketchup or ranch. They dishwash well, the lid is super with 6 snaps all around, and the value for buying 2 or more to switch out through the week cant be beat. I'll often put a frozen pouch in the largest compartment packed with other food, too - serves as extra ice pack and everything is totally ready to eat by noon. His teacher just takes off the lid and sets the whole box in front of him, he loves getting his little fingers into each section to treasure hunt for whatever is yummy. We just Love love love these!

I ordered this because of the price and I’m so glad I did! It is the perfect size for my sons lunchbox, I find the full bentgo Way too big! This one you could fit chips and a drink on top in a regular lunchbox no problem! It may not be as leakproof as the full set, I did watermelon one time and my son said it didn’t leak a little bit but I could’ve also maybe not close it all the way like I should. This thing is awesome! Total game changer for lunch preparation!

I love this little lunchbox. I got it for my two year old for when we go on outings and I need to carry her lunch with us. The tabs that hold the lid in place are a little difficult to open and close or I would have given it five stars, but we haven't had it long and I'm still getting used to it. I just don't want to pull them too hard because I'm afraid I might break them. I chose this box because it has so many compartments. I want to give my daughter a variety of foods even though she doesn't usually eat much. It doesn't hold a ton of food, but it's plenty for my two year old and there's enough space to include a snack or a little lunch for me too. I usually put some Cheerios in the tiny round compartment, but you could probably put Ketchup or another dip in there too. I haven't put anything really wet like yogurt, so I don't know if it will leak, but the sides of the compartments come all the way up to the lid, so the different foods have stayed separated so far. The lid did get stained very quickly. That's not a big deal so long as it doesn't mold. I read one review that said to put plastic wrap under the lid to keep it from molding. That's a great tip. So far, I just wipe mine out with a diaper wipe and dry with a cloth after we use it before I put it back in our backpack to avoid any mold issues. It's pretty compact so I can easily fit it in my backpack/diaper bag that I already pack too full. As to what it can hold, I can put half a sandwich in the big compartment or a piece of bread folded with part of a banana, some cheese sticks laid on top, some slices of cucumber or pasta in the medium compartment, a chopped up fruit like strawberries or some chopped tomato in one of the others and there's enough space to include a little snack like Goldfish or some pretzels. It's small, but holds way more than my two year old eats.

I was looking for a new lunch box for myself and this bento box came up. I have two and use them for my daughters. It shows me that I ordered in January 2017. I’ve now had the boxes for 5 years and they have held up so well! You can put a half sandwich in the large compartment. So many possibilities. I’ve also put in silicone cupcake liners if I needed an extra compartment. The lid still snaps shut tightly. I don’t worry about it opening. I don’t believe it seals liquids in, so I don’t ever send anything wet in it. They are very versatile. My now 9 year old used the lid as a cutting board to cut some strawberries and now the lid has some scratches on it but other than that, it’s held up so well. It hasn’t warped or faded or shown any signs of wear. I felt compelled to write a review after I saw I purchased them 5 years ago. Definitely worth it. I use for my preschooler and third grader. The preschooler is a heavy eater and my third grader isn’t, but I rarely feel the need that there isn’t enough space.

This is pretty good I’ve had it for about 3 years now and it’s still in impeccable condition and my son takes it to school so you know. It deals well, easy to carry, it doesn’t keep the temperature of food but if you get an ice pack it’s fine.

I love these I got 4 of them! Pack your kid’s lunch the night before and look like a classy hero on top of your game by lunch the next day. I got these because I’m an insecure stay at home dad that is rarely ever spoken to by the other mothers at drop-off or pick-up. However as a former soldier I know I run a far tighter ship than any of these chicks. I always arrive at the door 10 minutes prior to the start of school to drop my kids off and 10 minutes prior to dismissal to pick them up. Without fail the teachers release my sons first because they know,sure as the sun rises in the east, I’ll be there when the door opens. But that’s not enough, so I got these boxes to keep the fruits, vegetables, meats, and cheeses that I finely slice by hand every day for my boys’ lunches. Now every snooty mom that doesn’t talk to me because she thinks I’m less a man than her husband knows I’m better than her. And maybe one day if she ever talks to me I’ll tell her how I killed better men than her husband in Iraq. 5 STARS!!!

These boxes are portion sized for my 2 and 4 yard old. Children who eat more than a 2 or 4 year old would need something bigger. The boxes are difficult to open, therefore my independent 2 year old becomes very frustrated that he cannot open it himself. The sizes of the compartments make it difficult to get a dish towel in there to clean it, but it is possible. Overall, I am content with the boxes. I like the price compared to other boxes that are available. The different compartments hold enough for my children at this age, and the kids like having their food separated.

Es pequeño. Y difícil de abrirlo para niños pequeños (mi hija de 4 años no puede hacerlo) el espacio redondo es muy pequeño (casi del tamaño de una moneda de $10) por lo que no cabe gran cosa. No es hermético (se chorreó todo el jugo de la fruta picada) y el revés es complejo de lavar a mano por los zurcos. En general no me encantó aunque la idea es buena podría mejorar el recipiente. Aunque los bentgo más completos son extremadamente caros (más de 600$ MXN) así que pues si buscas algo sencillo esta es la opción sin ser lo mejor.

I love Bentgo Kids. In response to other reviews: •these are not leak-proof on their own, as these are extra trays and lids to use for meal prepping; they are meant to lay flat in your fridge until you need them, then the lid gets popped off and you insert it into your bentgo kids box; They're literally just storage for your rotation!! •the portions are supposed to be small! These are literally meant for primary children (up to age 7). I'm an adult who uses these for easy portioning of my daily fruits/veggies/crackers/hummus; I take two Bentgo Kids boxes work daily for my daytime foods. •I cannot speak on the lids cracking if too much force is put on them as these are my first back-ups for meal prep rotation, but I found it reasonable to open. If for some reason you gave this to your kids, yeah-- I bet they'd struggle. The lids are like $3.50 to replace, if that is an issue -- OR I'm sure you can contact Bentgo as they have incredible customer service.

Haven’t tried this yet as school hasn’t started. I bought it for my 5 year old for school. But I can tell from the portion size that it looks good. I did put some water in it to test out to see if it leaks and it doesn’t leak which is nice. This is somewhat easy to clean. I don’t have a dishwasher so I do everything by hand. The one thing that I didn’t like about it was the lid. He has a hard time getting the clasps open. I do have another one coming that has the actual case. I bought this one so that I can have it ready for the next day so I just have to grab it from the fridge and finish filling it.
