I got this for my husband and one piece was missing and the customer service was great they sent a replacement piece right away.

As with all the other K&N Filters I've installed on cars and motorcycles, this has helped the bike breathe a bit better. I'm surprised the intake noise didn't increase nearly as much as my Triumph Speed Triple did with a K&N, but the desmo valves of the 1098 are noisy even in stock form. I didn't notice a huge difference power-wise (no dyno runs to compare), but paired up with a better map via Tuneboy and the bike seems to run a bit better. Taking the fairing off and removing the intake tubes were a pain, but otherwise the installation was pretty easy. I imagine installing an air filter on the Ducati Streetfighter would be a lot faster. The bolts for the intake snorkels on the 1098 are a bit awkward to get to. Overall, a great product, and I'll continue to buy K&N.

Ordered for 2010 Ducati 848. It fits very well. I like that the product ships with 2 gaskets and some grease to seal the filter and prevent any dirt from getting in from the sides. Stock air filter fit is very bad. As for performance, I think its good.

I have used K&N in everything that takes fuel and goes vroom. Bought this for my motorcycle and upon looking through the contents found it was missing one of two gaskets. Notified Amazon and had a replacement in 24 hours (good deal). Unfortunately the replacement was missing the same gasket. I figure at this point its a manufacturer error and called up K&N. Great and quick support that sent me the missing gasket. Still gave 4 stars as issues happen, the response of the company to fix the issue is what matters.

I have been using K&N filters for over 20 years now and never been disappointed. Better air flow and performance any time you add to any vehicle, I even have it on my little Ford Transit Connect and it became more aggressive on the higher rpm's. Overall picture guys don't hesitate to buy one, best filter in the market!

DID NOT INCLUDE SEALING GREASE OR GASKETS!!!! WASTE OF MY MONEY SMH….

Just installed it today on my 2007 1098. But can't say it works and I saw a response cause during this I also broke the front coil pack while trying to change the spark plugs. The part that sticks onto the spark plug broke off and and got stuck inside the head. Sucked but I got it out after an hour or so. Ordered a new one on Ebay. As for this part it will be a nice upgrade over the stock one I'm sure. The stock one was dirty and had 17K on it.
