Magical Mermaids! (Shimmer and Shine) (Step into Reading, Step 1)

My 6 year old grand daughter loves to read . Being a new reader she loves the step books . This is also one of her favorites .

If your girl loves Shimmer and Shine this is a great short book. Helps to teach them to read and also a short good story

My daughter loves to read. We began purchasing this level 1 readers about 6 months ago. Every night she picks out one to read before bed. Basic small words. Its definitely encouraging her to work on learning to read.

My 5-year-old loves Shimmer and Shine, so getting her to pick this book up wasn't exactly a challenge. What I like about it as a parent is that she can actually work through a lot of it herself instead of immediately handing it back to me to read. The sentences are short, the words are approachable, and the pictures give enough context to help when she gets stuck. That's exactly what I want from a Step 1 book. It feels like she's reading a story she enjoys rather than practicing reading because I asked her to. If your child is just starting to read independently and already likes Shimmer and Shine, this is an easy 5 stars.

Loved it!

The kid loves the book. She used all the stickers right away. The story is a simple and quick read, but is interesting enough to repeat and enjoy it again. The art is cute, and yes, it is sparkly! The stickers look very sparkly and cute.

My daughter is 5 and LOVES this book. She is in preK and is learning basic sounds. This book is easy for her to work with, plus she loves shimmer and shine!

Even though I think the story is kind of goofy, my granddaughter always picks this to read. It does have colorful characters & pictures & simple story line.

My sister is six years old and starting to read. I got this book for her as a gift, since she is a HUGE Shimmer and Shine fan. She absolutely loves this book.
