Nice microphone
Nice microphone I wasn’t sure how well this product would sound. I had the opportunity to try it out this weekend at two different gigs. Before doing the gigs, I gave it a run-through in my studio. I worked with the EQ and different settings to see what sounded best with my soprano, tenor, and alto saxophones. Sound: the overall sound was really good. I noticed a lot of key noise, but I was able to work with the EQ to bring those clicks down. I noticed that of the three settings on the microphone the alto setting had the best overall sound and worked well on all three of my horns. I was able to EQ the mic to drastically minimized the key noise mentioned earlier even during quiet passages a backing tracks. This was not as noticeable when playing with live musicians or loud passages. The mic works very well indoors but picks up any kind of wind noise outside. Also, be careful around fans. The slightest breeze can cause serious noise issues and even feedback. Battery life: The unit came fully charged so and has lasted more than four hours. I did turn it off between sets. I will definitely be charging it before the next gig. In use: My first event was an outdoor gig in a park. The mic was unusable. It created lots of feedback, wind noise, and other issues. Fortunately, I was prepared with my backup system. On the plus side though, I was able to play roughly 175 feet away from the receiver. My second event was an indoor gig. The mic worked flawlessly. I was able to interact with the crowd and play without a thought of the system. I was very pleased. The unit is light and secures to my horn well. I plugged the receiver directly into my Boss VE20 and also tried it directly into my Bose L1 Pro8. Both ways worked well. I like the packaging, the way the receiver fits directly into my mixer and or amp, and that the microphone is secure on my horns. I like that it charges in its case. Very well designed. I will definitely recommend this product. I plan to re-review the product after more uses. I have not charged it yet and I am concerned about the battery life. I hoping for as least a couple of years since the battery is non-user replaceable.

Best microphone I invested in
I recently started using this wireless saxophone microphone for gigs and rehearsals, and it’s been a game-changer. The setup was incredibly straightforward—pairing the transmitter and receiver took less than a minute. Once connected, the signal is rock-solid with no noticeable latency, even when moving around a stage or walking through the audience. The sound quality is excellent; it captures the full warmth and dynamics of my saxophone without distortion or feedback. The clip is secure yet gentle on the bell, and the lightweight design means you barely notice it’s there. Battery life easily lasts through multiple sets, and recharging is quick and hassle-free. What I appreciate most is the freedom to move without being tied down by cables. It’s perfect for live performances, busking, and even studio sessions where mobility is key. For the price and quality, this is an outstanding option for any saxophonist looking to go wireless. Highly recommended!

Pleasantly Surprised
I have used this microphone for about a dozen outdoor gigs this summer and so far, I have been very satisfied with its performance. I have not once ran out of power or exceeded the maximum range. Twice I have encountered some interference that was intermittent and as randomly as it came, it went away. I appreciate the design of the microphone itself; it is easy to switch from saxophone to saxophone and provides a snug fit that does not appear to be harming the finish of the instrument at all. The entire unit seems to be built solidly. I can say that I dropped the receiver on concrete and it shows no sign of malfunctioning even though I scuffed it up a good bit. I think the charging case concept is great as it is sort of a failsafe in case I forget to plug it in before the next gig. I have been satisfied with the quality of the sound I am getting from the microphone; I find the EQ modes do make a slight difference in the sound. I'm not sure why it is solely marketed for saxophones, it seems just about any brass instrument would be fine with it. The biggest con is the lack of a mute button. Turning it on and off is a bit too time consuming when switching instruments between songs. If I do turn off the microphone, it is difficult to tell if I switched it back on because in any amount of sun, you cannot see the LED on the microphone. You can on the receiver, so I find myself looking over at the board to be sure it is connected. Also, if you do encounter interference, you are simply out of luck as there is no way to change the channel. I do anticipate getting diminishing returns on the battery life at some point but at this price point, I am okay with it. I'm not playing with Earth Wind and Fire so for my purposes, this microphone is great and I would highly recommend it for any in a band like my own.

incredible value, really awesome design
It's hard to believe the incredibly low price for this system, considering how dependable and strong the signal is and how great the audio quality is. First gig so far I experienced no access feedback or no access wind noise, the saxophone sound was very well balanced in the house and the three frequency modes for alto/soprano/tenor saxes is helpful. My bandmates commented that they can hear me very well on my new mic and was even able to walk out into the crowd during my solos to interact with the audience more! I think that's another winning plus sign. Also, the included charging case was smaller than I expected! You can easily store this in a suitcase or even your own saxophone case which is great for touring or travels, which is far more convenient and far less cumbersome than bringing stands, cables and wired mics in large cases. The fact that the receiver and transmitter charges in the case and all three is chargeable by USB-C cable is very convenient, considering many other electronics also use this same charging method (especially android phones, some ipad models!) The transmitter clip seems to be strong and simple, it stays on the bell of the saxophone firmly but also super easy to remove in a second. I don't understand why the Samson AWX system has such an awkward looking transmitter clip design (may not stay on very well) and I hear their magnetic charging cable doesn't stay on very well. The receiver is basically plug-and-go, so you don't have to plug into an extra power source but also doesn't have all the detailed frequency and channel controls. Therefore it would be best to plug it into a mixing board that already has all the controls on it, which most of my gigs have on site anyways. The one disadvantage you'll find however, is the range is only 20 meters (about 66 feet) which isn't as long as the other systems such as Samson and AMT, (80-90 meters) but those include a large receiver unit with the fine tuning controls but also requires an external power source. Therefore when shopping for these you should really look into what's best for your needs, but for my own the range of this mic is just what I need. The AMT wireless mics are tried and true, legendary for such amazing signal and audio quality but they cost $800-1000, and I can't find any retailers who have any in stock. Overall I am very satisfied with my purchase and look forward to using this a lot more in the near future! Now I don't always have to carry a large cumbersome case with a wired mic, stand and cable with me and can just carry this in its compact case, thus lightening my load when I travel for gigs. Something like this would be worth even more than what they sell for!

Great for the price
Very nice mic! Not too worried about range because I play small venues and it works great. The only thing when you play low it sounds boomy (low B flat).. it’s very convenient, my favoirte thing is no batteries!! The charge lasts long, everything fits in a small case and easy to transport. Very happy with the purchase

Great Little Mic
I've been using the NUX B-6 on my Yamaha 82z Alto/Tenor/Soprano for about 3 months. A single charge of the mic and received has lasted me 3-4 hours with plenty to spare. Connection is easy. I have not noticed the mic or receiver timing out because a lack of sound. If you are playing in a band setting as I am, the ambient noise of other instruments keeps it from shutting off. This inexpensive mic has been easy to use, very good sounding. SUPER easy set up, easy to charge. I would definitely buy again. Clips very easily onto the bell. I move around a bit on stage and the clips stays secure.

Nice mic for small inside work
I’ve owned this mic for several months now and finally feel ready to review- BUT, I’m not going to tell you what you know already. YES, it’s compact; YES, it’s convenient; and YES, it charges in the case. All those are very nice. It IS cool. Here’s the criticisms: Inside, at mid sized venue performances w/ low to moderate stage noise is where this mic lives. But, you should be ready for more environments. Mic performs well with strong signal, albeit hot signal. Your input gain on your fx rig or board channel will need to be dropped compared to other similar wireless systems. The preset EQ is compressed over all 3 settings, giving a slightly false representation of tone- I don’t mean that negatively, but be aware that if you swap mics, you’ll notice a less focused/more spread mic tone (not a focused response, that is pretty wide). The hot signal mixed with pre-set, compressed EQ also makes it tough on the sound man, as feedback is more prevalent with this mic in a band setting using stage monitors. You’ll be better off using this mic with IEMs and no wedges/side fill monitors nearby. The capsule, though decent, overloads at moderate to heavy SPL (blowing too hard). If you’re getting it in with the band, it’s going to clip out. It’s also very sensitive and susceptible to environmental noises, ie. bumps on hands or clothing. No forgiving shockmounting for this mic. The B-6’s real Achilles’ heel is wind, as there is almost no wind/pop protection. Outdoor festivals with even light winds or using a fan onstage is going to be a nuisance, as it picks it all up. The battery level indicator on the case is deceiving. Full bars, and you’re good for the night. Any less than than, and you should plan to plug it in before the 3rd set, because it will not last the whole show. Overall, if you’re playing in a comfortable little venue with A/C and/or solo without stage bleed from other musicians, this is a must try! If you want a compact backup for your main rig, this is a great buy! But, as a main rig for a traveler, you should experiment with it first to see if it suits your needs. Again- I LIKE this mic- but, I’m ready for the next, more improved model! *(My basis for comparisons are Shure ULX, PGX, BLX systems w/ Beta 98 h/c mics, AMT Q7 systems, and Samson/AMT Wi5 systems)

Stopped working after a few months
Worked great at the start - but then after a couple months, it just gave out while I was at a gig. The mic turns on, and the transmitter/receiver sync, but no audio is actually sent out to the sound board from the receiver. Completely unusable. Buyers beware, this mic won’t last you very long.
