OCuSOFT Lid Scrub PLUS Foaming Eyelid Cleanser – 50 mL Foam Pump

I was having a hard time getting the lid scrubber pads that I normally use so I decided to try this foam as a stop gap. It works just as well as the pads. My washcloths are softer so there is less irritation and there is certainly less waste, that is I don’t have the packaging and paper wipe that I need to dispose of each time.

This product does a fantastic job removing residue of dried eyedrops, tears, and other secretions/debris from the eyelids. As a result, the eyes are not chronically irritated by this residue, which normal washing with soap and water does not remove. So the whites of the eyes are whiter and less red, and the eyes do not have that itchy feeling. And it is not necessary to use eye drops as frequently. The product does not sting the eyes if you get some of it in your eyes. It does not feel good, but it is not terribly unpleasant. I learned about this product by accident; I was completely unaware of this product or similar products. The enthusiastic reviews of this product that I read on Amazon are entirely justified. Here is what I do: I quickly depress the plunger on top of the bottle to dispense some foam into the cupped palm of my hand. Then, I use my index finger to scoop up half the foam and gently rub it across the eyelid of one closed eye. Then, I use my index finger to scoop up the rest of the foam and gently rub it across the eyelid of the other closed eye. The product is a liquid that is converted to foam by quickly passing through a nozzle, so it is necessary to apply the product to the eyelids without delay. Then, I gently rub back and forth sideways on the eyelids as if massaging the product into the eyelids. Then, I rinse my eyelids with warm water to remove the excess product and debris that has been loosened by the product. The product not only removes the debris, it seems to act as a skin moisturizer and conditioner for the eyelids. So your eyes feel clean and fresh in a way that I had not experienced for MANY years. I do this in the morning after I have showered and washed my face with soap and water, and I do it in the evening. It is hard to overstate the utility of this product. Using the product in this manner, my first bottle lasted nine weeks. So the cost no problem, especially considering how valuable the product is.

I WAS GETTING LOW ON THIS ITEM, AND ORDERED MORE BECAUSE I NEVER WANT TO BE WITHOUT IT. I HAD SHINGLES A COUPLE OF YEARS AGO ON MY FACE AND TOWARDS MY EYE, AND THIS WAS RECOMMENDED AT THAT TIME BY MY EYE DOC TO RELIEVE THE SCRATCHINESS, ITCH & DRYNESS OF ONE EYE IN PARTICULAR. IT'S SO EASY TO USE AND IT INSTANTLY MAKES YOUR EYE(S) FEEL BETTER/RELIEF. IT'S ALSO SUPPOSED TO BE GOOD FOR POLLUTION RELATED, AND JUST OVERALL EYE HEALTH. IT'S A WINNER!

I bought this product and also the pre-moistened towelette version to compare. Both work essentially the same for cleaning your eyelids, and both cost about the same. However, I have been using this foam daily for four months now, and it is not quite used up. The towelettes have just 35 for this price, so this item is about 4x cheaper. So you have to ask yourself, why would you buy the towelettes instead of this. As for the cleaning, it seems to work for me. I was getting some eye goop (officially called blepharitis or some such term), and my ophthalmologist recommended this product to me. I don't get the goop anymore, so that's a win. I use one squirt and split it between my two eyes, which is more than enough.

I use this daily on my eye lids after I get out of the shower.. It is moisturizing and has helped clear up my eczema on my eye lids. It’s also non-greasy and doesn’t effect my eye makeup. I’m so glad I found this product.

Eyes felt like there was sand in them. Blepharitis, the eye doctor said. Buy this stuff she said. Ok. Turn off the ceiling fans. Nope, not in Texas. I first bought this in a bottle that was about ten times as big and cost about the same, in Walmart or CVS? TSA at the airport had a great time insisting I couldn’t bring it on the plane because it was over the liquid limit. I refused and finally the supervisor had them do a chemical test with a swab, and guess what? It’s not a fiendish explosive liquid. Am I a Karen or is their job impossible and they are underpaid and every so often not paid at all? Anyway, this stuff is soothing and it works. I looked up a way to make it at home, which absolutely does work also.

It did the job of cleaning my lashes. Ever since I used it I never had any stye or chalazion. Easy to use, non irritating.
