Life changing speakers
I wanted something that on occasion would go really, really loud but without distorting, without popping a tweeter and without frying the amplifier. I read a few American reviews of these and was impressed. What interested me also was their high sensitivity / efficiency ratings (which means more of the power from your amp gets converted into sound) These replaced a pair of fab Missions that had served me well. To say I was blown away by these is an understatement. They've been life-changing, I had friends bringing CDs round to hear them "properly" on my system :) If you've got a decent source and a half-decent amp you'll find these magical. I recently upgraded my old amp to the Yamaha AS500 Integrated Amplifier with 85w X 2 High Power Output . Together they are simply amazing.

Great for low powered valve amps
After searching for forever to find a suitable speaker to power my low powered valve amplifier I stumbled across these. True sensitivity is around 91-92db. These are perfect for valve/tube amps because they compliment the mellow, smooth sound from them. I would describe the sound as forward, entertaining and peppy ! These are well worth considering due to the great price and size.

Very good speakers especially for movies .
This is really good speakers especially considering the price . Overall sound reproduction is fantastic , There is a lot of clarity and openness to the sound and the credit goes to the horn tweeters . Sound stage is very wide and you can hear every single detail of the music you are listening to . Female vocals are superb on these ,it's like the singer is in the room with you .. Male vocals it depends on the tonality of the singer and how the recording was done but overall is good but not best to my ears . Bass is really good ,punchy and goes very deep to the point that you don't necessarily have to use a subwoofer . Also these speakers are very forgivable to poor recordings ,compared for example to other speakers that I had (Elac debut 2.0 b6.2) they liked only good recordings, you could here the quality degradation but not on the Klipsch it makes poor recordings sound good also . The only big issue I found is that these can be very bright depends on the recording of the songs . I encountered songs that I wasn't able to listen to in more than low volume because of this . So my recommendation is using warm amplifier and dac to compensate for the brightness . For movies its a match from heaven.. very very good ! ,its like you are in the movie and not just watching from the outside , I would have given it 10 stars for movies if possible :) Now after using them for 6 months I was getting tired of the brightness and I switched to another speakers The Triangle BRO3 that I found to be just perfect for music with the right balance of treble mid range and bass though less punchy and deep compared to the Klipsch . But still when I watch a movie I immediately switch to the Klipsch ,they are that good for movies ! So bottom line is, if you have the right gear to compensate for the brightness these speakers are superb .

Great full Klipsch sound no sub needed.
I purchased these while they were under $250 to use in a small 8X10 room being powered by a Emotiva A100 BasX receiver and after 50 hours of use the sound is balanced and full with a good soundstage and detailed presentation. I have owned small Polk floor standers that didn't come close to the sound quality and bass production these Klipsch produce. The build quality is solid with good weight which usually means heavy magnets behind the drivers. The front ports are great for me since I had to place them within a few inches of the side walls and 2 feet from back walls. I have the speakers on stands and wired with copper 10 awg cables. The bass is not boomy but is mostly tight and can be real deep on tracks with a lot of bass. The treble can be a little bright but that is what I prefer. I feed the Emotiva with a iPod Touch, Audio technica turntable with a ART DJ preamp and a Yamaha cassette deck. The only negative I have with the speakers is that the surrounds on the 6.5 drivers are a coated foam which I didn't think Klipsch did at all. I have some older Klipsch KG4's from the 80's that have rubber surrounds but if the foam ones last 15 to 20 years that will be good enough. Overall these are great speakers and at under $300 are a awesome buy!
