Will this fit a measurement microphone such as the MiniDSP Umik-1?

Just pop in my gig bag and Im sorted. So much more handy than the usual mic stand.

Is this compatible with the shure sm7b mic?

It will be. The main issue with mic stands is that the holder might not match the thread. If this is the case, you can get brass ring thread convertors. I boom stand fits and an SM58 copy mic so an SM 57 should be no problem.

Will this work for RodeNT usb mic?

Without an appropriate adaptor, probably not. The stand comes supplied with a couple of cheap microphone clips, one is a lightweight, plastic sprung clip, the other a fairly large diameter soft plastic clip, which only loosely grips a Shure SM58 or similar sized microphone. However, the thread at the end of the stand's boom is a standard one, so of you already have a clip for boom type microphone stands that fits you Rode NT, when dismantled, this stand is far more compact and therefore portable than most.

Isn’t it great for piano playing recording and singing into a microphone?

That really depends on how you position the microphone stand and boom to get your vocal microphone where you want it. The legs are only about 2/3 the length of one's on a 'standard' microphone stand, which might be helpful because they take up less space. However, if you want to extend the boom a long way out (horizontally), those shorter legs will mean the stand is considerably less stable.
