Great Guide for Learning or Refreshing
My daughter was introduced to bracelet making and gimp for camp. I brought her this for more ideas. She LOVES it. It's easy to read and has step by step instructions and pictures. Great for any age just starting out or tapping back into your childhood. I started doing them with her.

Can be difficult to understand
Bought this for a family camp activity. The instructions are a little unclear if you've never made boondoggles before. It took us awhile to get started. But over 4 days we made tons of Keychains and tried a few techniques from this book. Instructions and photos could be better.

Cost too much.
Very pricey for a flimsy paperback with <18pg's (counting cover & 2 title pgs). It's a well illustrated, step-by-step learner, just don't see the $8.99 value.

Lots of fun patterns
Having started making "lanyards" at the age of 12 I have continued loving this hobby. Now I'm, 79 and can make all kinds of cool items. Unfortunately most of the plastic lacing you need is made in China and stretches a lot more than the USA kind. This book has some nice things I haven't made before and will be fun to do to give away.

Super Scoubidou, and Beast Boondoggle for my 8 yr ...
I purchased the Plastic Lace Crafts for Beginners: Groovy Gimp, Super Scoubidou, and Beast Boondoggle for my 8 yr old grand daughter. But found its too complicated for her to follow. I have a hard time following some of the instructions. I don't feel that this book is for beginners so much, maybe the next step up from beginners. I use to make keychains out of the strips when I was a youngster but it has been years and years since then. I will keep the book for when she gets a bit older if she decides to keep up with the plastic materials to make keychains.

Practical Lanyards.
If you ever had a doubt about being able to do lace projects, you now have no excuse to join in the fun and make things that are beautiful and practical. I have just finished making 5 key lanyards for my wife's Oxygen Main Valve Keys. The keys will never get lost or misplaced again. The company that replaces the empty Oxygen Tanks has requested a sample, which I sent. The 5 have been a labor of love and the sample has been a joy as I made it a slightly more complicated type.
