Bioclean Hard Water Stain Remover, 20.3oz

Admittedly, I'm not a house cleaner. I don't enjoy it. I procrastinate. We also have very hard water. My husband ripped out our entire master bathroom and I picked out these pretty glass sliding doors, instead of the tacky frosted ones we had from the prior owners. I assumed you kept glass clean with Windex. Ha! Not with hard water! Hard water drops WILL NOT WIPE CLEAN! Googling got me to a semi-decent product by Lysol. Yes, it did remove most of the water spots whenever I cleaned. The issue is it started to evaporate while I was still scrubbing with my scratchy surfaced sponge and since the entire door and panel was being scrubbed, you couldn't see what you were accomplishing. It looked like you scrubbed all of the surface, but when you sprayed the area down, there were patches of hard water spots that needed additional scrubbing. It was very frustrating! Somehow I found this Bio-clean product on Amazon. Ouch on that price! I got the bigger bottle to at least get a better value. This product works! I still used the same scratchy surfaced kitchen sponge for cleaning. I think one of the reasons that it works is that it's a cream. You wipe it on and it mostly stays on (with a tad bit of evaporation) until you can rinse it off so it can continue breaking down those mineral deposits. The product rinsed cleanly away using the shower nozzle. Instead of going over the rinsed glass with a microfiber cloth, Windex, and my tears to find missed patches of mineral deposits, I only used a dry microfiber cloth to wipe the glass dry instead of an additional glass cleaner. I promptly got on Amazon to leave this review & order more for fear that it'll no longer be available. The price? That brings a few tears. But personally, I will save Bio-clean for tough jobs only, such as the shower glass doors. My boys' shower / tub will get the regular cleaner. I won't waste it on regular cleaning jobs due to the cost. If the cost were to come down, it's definitely a product I'd use more widely across my home.

WOW! I could not believe the results I got with this product! Our guest room and bath was used all summer by my son while home from college this summer. For some reason, these so-called "higher education" students don't seem to know how to use nor understand the concept of using the squeegee in the shower. By end of summer I had doors full of hard water spots and even worse dried hard water spots on all the chrome fixtures. I tried Mr. Eraser, Vinegar, CLR.... the works. At wits end, I thought I would give this product a try after seeing the abundance of reviews. I did not get my hopes up but threw caution to the wind. Boy! Was I surprised! This stuff is a liquid paste. I used the scrubbing part of a microfiber cloth to rub it into the glass in circular motions a section at a time. You need a bit of elbow grease. It wasn't easy wipe on wipe off. But with a little work it removed all the water spots! And not just on the doors, but on the chrome fixtures as well. Those didn't take the same amount of rubbing as the doors did, so they were much easier. I couldn't believe how well this product worked, especially since I didn't have high hopes. This product was EASY to use out of the bottle. One bottle seems to last a lot - I got the 40oz bottle on sale - it was actually less in price than the 10oz! - I had a lot left after two shower doors and fixtures. The product seems pretty versatile so I'm looking forward to using it on other things, especially my car windows. So impressed with this, I've recommended it to a few friends and will be buying another bottle!

I try to go above and beyond surface characteristics and input into quality, value and application. Most importantly, I end the review with an answer as to whether I'd purchase the product again which I believe is the most critical question pertaining to the item. To manufacturers: Manufacturers: Want me to review your items, just let me know! I should have done a before and after photo. Everything has failed in the past so I didn't even consider it. I've had a particularly difficult hard water stripe that has formed over the years where the sliding shower door overlaps the fixed glass pain. Hazy, streaked and typical hard water deposit ... but not super rough because I've attempted to clean it at least 5 times in the past with various purchased remedies as well as multiple homemade concoctions recommended and essentially polished it. They 'helped' but never eliminated it. I tried this Bioclean remover along with a single Scotch Brite Zero Scratch pad in combination. A small bucket of water to maintain a moist sponge and deliberate circular strokes with the scrubber side, with consistent pressure. I made multiple passes over the area and didn't let it dry. The proof is always after you get done and it all dries. Every time in the past, it looks great at first and then the haze comes back - not this time! I missed a couple of areas but retreated and the glass looks almost new again. Even the heaviest deposits at the base were gone. The photo shows the 'after' effects. There was a long 1" - 2" hard water stripe from the base to about 3/4 of the way up. The product smells like wintergreen and is somewhat creamy, a bit like soft-scrub. I'm not sure what the active chemicals are in it or if it's the soft abrasive nature from the combination o the cleaner and the sponge, but I don't care. After trying so many different combinations of homemade and purchased cleaners, this is the one! Highly, highly recommend this product.

This product was recommended by our window installers as we have hard water where we live and we get spots on our windows that windex etc will not get off. This stuff works really well but you do need to scrub hard.

I had hard water stains that had been sitting on my glass and fixtures for a long time. I tried the Magic Eraser, I tried several other products, and nothing touched them. I honestly bought this expecting it to be too gentle to work, since it's eco-friendly. I was wrong. It removed stains I thought were permanent. On top of that, it smells good instead of harsh, it doesn't tear up your hands, and it doesn't seem to damage anything around it. I don't know how it does it without the usual burning chemical smell, but it does. I almost never leave reviews. This one works so well that I wanted other people to know about it. Highly recommended. If you tell me the product name and what surfaces you used it on (shower glass, faucets, tile), I can tighten it up with those specifics — reviews that name the surface tend to be more useful to other buyers. See my pictures. Nothing left behind. 0 residue 0 stains.

The product itself it good do its job The only unsatisfying thing about this was the shipping process I had to wait like two weeks because it’s was delayed and when it came it was all messed up I didn’t returned because actually don’t have time to go ups and do all that process but I wish they were more careful with it.

I have years of hard water/mineral buildup on my exterior windows, and after trying multiple glass cleaners with little success, I decided to give Bio-Clean a try with #0000 steel wool. The difference was dramatic. One of my windows went from looking permanently cloudy to about 80% clear after one session. This isn’t a miracle product—you still need some elbow grease, and heavy mineral deposits won’t disappear with a quick wipe—but it actually removes buildup that regular glass cleaners won’t touch. A little product goes a long way, and it was easy to work with. If you’re dealing with hard water stains, I’d absolutely recommend giving this a try before assuming your glass is permanently etched or replacing your windows. It saved one of my windows, and I’m now working through the rest of the house.

Updated Review: I have read other reviews about this product not working. So I will write down my method: Needed Materials: Scrubber Daddy Sponge. I used the one that has the rough side and the softer side on the other side. Paper towels. I used the Viva brand ones. Latex Gloves: Great Value ones from Walmart. Soap: Dawn Dish Soap Water: basic water First, I cleaned the glass as you see on my video. I cleaned it with Dawn dish soap. Then I used a lot of this green product. I was very generous with it. I slathered it on, being careful not to dilute the product. Then I let it sit. I left my bathroom and played a whole game of soduku in hard level to ensure it would take me longer than ten mins. Then I went in with a damp sponge and started scrubbing with pressure. As much pressure in clockwise and counter clockwise circular motions. I went at that door for about 20 mins of scrubbing up down circles etc, always with pressure! Then I rinsed the shower glass and I then used a sponge with Dawn dish soap to remove any residue and then I squeegied it dry. That was it. This is the best product I have ever come across for water stains on my shower. I live in an area with very very hard water, so believe me I’ve tried everything and this is it!! The key part is pressure and patience. This is a give it love and when you’re tired take a break and go back to giving it some love again, kind of product. If you don’t have that love in you… just save your money and don’t buy this. But if you can commit this product does not disappoint. Original Review: Omg!! This stuff works!! It really works on shower glass doors!! It smells like toothpaste too, so it’s not suffocating with an unpleasant odor! Just watch my video!! You’ll see how NASTY my shower glass doors have gotten. This is 9 years of build up and this is what they look like with my trying to keep them clean. I will say, it’s a work out to truly buff out the hard water stains but it’s totally worth it. Please please buy this and never look back!!
