Triangular which one to choose?
Primary better than intermediate. First I use Triwrite because they are more ergonomic, not that they don't roll over. When choosing Triangular pencils its always TICONGEROGA TRIWRITE VRS TICONDEROGA TRIWRITE. Now which TRIWRITE to choose? They come as STANDARD, LADDIE & MY FIRST. Well I am a teaching Prof in a medical school and had been using Standard then shifted to LADDIE a year ago. Well there is no difference in external size, only that LADDIE has a thicker core which I found suitable for me. For my kid ( preschool) I had given him LADDIE then came across MY FIRST and decided to try. Well these have a thicker external diameter as well as a thicker core. The grip of my son is better as these are thicker. I have replaced his Laddie with MY FIRST. Regarding cutters: on a Steadler pencil cutter I had to just push a little and it worked. See attached pic.

Awesome pencils! I was hesitant to purchase these initially because they were so much more expensive than regular pencils, but my 3 year old was begging for pencils so she could practice her ABCs and our preschool teacher recommended these. These are the perfect shape for chubby little hands. She had a hard time holding a regular thin pencil and would get frustrated when it would slip out of her hands. These fit her perfectly and she's able to draw and write very comfortably. They also last forever. Even with her pressing hard, the lead never breaks. We bought this box over a year ago and are still on our second or third pencil since the lead never breaks. I can see this lasting forever.

Easier to grip, larger to help with writing skills, also easier for adults to grip for long periods of time writing โ๏ธ

love, love, love them
I am a fabric hand cutter in a furniture upholstery plant and use pencils quite a lot in marking. I have found these pencils hold up well under daily use. The round beginner pencil by the same company does not have the same quality. The lead breaks easily in them and I use them up so rapidly. For whatever reason the lead in these pencils seem to be of a stronger quality and seem to mark darker. The triangular shape is a real plus when you use them daily.

Recommend Highly
As a retired first grade teacher, I highly recommend these three-sided pencils. The shape gently forces the child to hold the pencil correctly. Saves lots of tears and finger pain of griping too hard.

Good pencils
Good pencils for little and big people. However they are too thick for (most) pencil sharpeners, the shape doesnโt seem to fit well into the big hole of our sharpener. So I use a Swiss Army knife to town them. Which is kind of fun, I donโt mind it, but just so you know. If you have a fully adjustable electric sharpener itโs probably not an issue. I like the fact that they have no eraser, because my preschooler just chews them off. Iโd buy these again.

Great for learning to write!!
These pencils are amazing! My son loves writing with his "fat" pencils!! They are perfect for his hand and he never complains about having difficult writing like he did with the thinner ones!! I bought boxes! I mag have some left over which I will give away when he has outgrown them. I have these pencils everywhere! I take them in the car for review and my purse. Not only that but the shape is perfect even I like using them!

good value
Good value, love that there is no eraser as kids just bite them off anyway! And in kindergarten I prefer they don't erase their work.

Jumbo pencils are hard for kids to write with, are too heavy and a pain to sharpen *IF you can find a huge sharpener to fit them
Awful for kids learning how to write. The pencil is FAR too wide and FAR too heavy. It's also a pain to find a large enough pencil sharpener, then trying to sharpens these triangle pieces of wood is hard to do. The pencil flops around as the triangle sides bounce around in the sharpener as you try to spin the pencil. Just buy a box of golf pencils instead. They are very cheap, pre-sharpened, much lighter and easy for the child to hold, some come with erasers and pencils sharpeners for them are cheap and available. These jumbo pencils should NOT be in the finger tips of small children. It's just advertising to sell different kinds of pencils. Just stick with normal shaped and sized pencil that are half as long.

Great!
My daughter loves it. She won't do her homework in any other pencils.
