Van Staal Series Spinning Reels VR

I absolutely love this reel. It's the best investment that I made in fishing equipment! It's beautiful, well crafted and smooth. You can feel the sturdiness and quality of the reel soon as you handle it! It's like the AK 47 of fishing reels! In other words, it's reliable in battle. I get so many compliments on it and I can't wait to bring it to the Florida Keys. Well done Van Staal!!! 👏 👏 👏 👏

If your thinking about purchasing it and your on the edge….. is a small reel really worth that kind of bucks. This reel is superb…well built light weight… no faults at all. Get It..

I am extremely biased on this. Best sealed reel ever. I have several and my original one has gone through a lot of abuse and it is still solid. if you can get this on sale like I did I would jump on it.

Excellent fishing reel! Tested it on a few striped bass, takes almost zero effort to reel in, compared to other fishing reels. Super smooth, excellent drag, waterproof, and full metal. Not to mention, super super light weight. Anyone who’s not quite sure of buying one, just get it! You won’t regret it!

I bought a new reel from this seller and it had a ticking noise when reeling under load, so I returned it because it seemed defective. I was later charged a large restocking fee due to missing box/packaging, with the seller saying they can’t resell it as new(Not sure why they would resell a broken reel). I feel this is unfair since it arrived with issues. Customer service responded but would not remove the fee. Be cautious buying here.

I haven’t used it personally yet, but I can speak for its quality since many of my friends already own one, and it has truly impressed me. It’s extremely durable, fully sealed, and clearly built to handle tough saltwater conditions. Definitely feels like a long-term investment.

I've wanted a Van Staal for years and years, and now that I could afford one, I was not let down. The reel is amazing—the smooth drag stands out. Line spools on beautifully and casts like a dream. I've dropped it in the sand a few times, no grinding or sticking. It's built to take a beating and still function perfectly. Worth the money. Hope to catch many more fish with it.

Very smooth and so light weight. The spool holds a ton of line too. Ill update this once i have a big fish pull some drag on the wheel

So the description on german amazon is wrong, it says "right handed" even though it's VR150 (right handed would be VR151) either way, proper VR150 arrived, left handed, brand new, sparkling. I was not sure if the offer is real as the price was very very good, but seems like the seller "tackle-deals" stands by its name. I would not normally buy it, but the price was too good to pass up. Looking forward to the new season with this reel and many more seasons after that. Edit: added pictures from fishing trips.

Acabei de receber o carreto e parece incrível. A construção é muito sólida e o design é mesmo bonito. O preço é de outro mundo, mas nota-se logo que é um produto de alta qualidade. Mal posso esperar por o testar.

Sehr schwergängig für eine derart hochpreisige Rolle. Die Fräsungen sind teils scharfkantig, da diese anscheinend nicht bearbeitet wurden. Ich habe die Rollo sehr enttäuscht zurückgeschickt.
