Q: Has anyone tried this using a pistol with Crimson Trace Laser Grips installed? Can you use the laser or does the front of the rest Interfere with the laser?

I haven't decided to purchase yet, but I had the same question and I'm speculating about drilling a 1/4" to 1/2" hole right where the grip laser can pass thru the front rest. Probably void out any warranty, but for the price it's probably worth a try.

Q: Do you use this with Black powder revolvers with3” and 8" barrels ?

No, I used it with a Colt SAA that has a 5 1/2” barrel. To me it felt too flimsy and the base where you would rest the bottom of the grip was too small and too rigid. The front barrel rest screw height adjustment was way too coarse and imprecise. I added weight to the flimsy base but still wasn’t happy with it. Regular sandbag rests did just as good or better. I switched to a small tabletop shooter’s tripod with a narrow “V” cushioned barrel rest and added a squeezable bag for the base of the pistol grip and was happy with that setup.

Q: how sturdy is this for sighting in sights on something like a Glock 19?

I use it on a 44 magnum for sighting in and it works if you weight it down with a sand bag between the rear rest and the front barrel rest. You can also make a thin sandbag the length and depth of the underside and fasten that for weight.

Q: Will this rest work for smaller gun than a 1911, such as a s&w mp 22?

I think it'll work with any gun. Just rest the butt of your pistol on the rear rest and the barrel on the height-adjustable front rest. If your handgun is too small, then rest your forearm on the rear rest. I used it on a Smith 686 revolver as well as a Walther PPS pistol.
