ODOR-CLO2 Chlorine Dioxide Odor Removal - Air Freshener & Deodorizer

Be extremely cautious when using this! I wore a chemical respirator and goggles when setting it up and the smell was still overwhelming and potentially dangerous. DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES BREATHE IN THE GAS! It starts reacting instantly and no readily available equipment will protect you from it. Hold your breath, dump it in water and RUN don't look back or delay for anything. I used the entire bag for a 1200sqft apartment and it worked very well for removing the old pet/mildew smell. I set it up in a 5 gallon bucket with an air stone by the intake to the HVAC system and let it circulate for 24 hours. After 24 hours the smell is still very strong so I'd recommend having a chemical respirator for going in to open windows, at that point it was weak enough the respirator could handle it. But strong enough you don't want to breathe it. There was a faint residual chlorine smell for about a week that was very pleasant in my opinion but is now completely gone. I did the treatment about 5 months ago and it's permanently removed about 95% of the smell. It's good enough for me but I'm pretty sure if I did another treatment it would completely take care of it.

Purchased a used car that had a smoke smell. I had the car fully detailed and spent a small fortune on ozone and was still left with a smell that would reappear when the car sat in the sun. The ozone did seem to clear the vent system out, but I needed to find something that would get the rest of the smell out of the upholstery. Ozone made me nervous with the possible break down of rubber, electronics and leather, so I did only 2 hours of ozone (though detailer said I needed to do 3-4) and didn't want to do it again for fear of running the interior. After much research, I found companies offering a chlorine dioxide service, but then came across this product. The reviews, ease, and cost sold me and without fear of harm to the interior. Like ozone, I wanted to do the less approach and see the outcome as I could retreat without worry to the electronics and rubbers. The instructions state to park in shade, but that was not possible so I put blankets all over the car blocking out 100% of the sun. I future followed the instructions and used 2oz of warm water to 20 tablets. I put the water in a plastic cup that was 5" tall and put that cup in a plastic shoe box container in case of over foaming or spillage. I laid the back seats down to be able to treat the trunk area as well. Since the car was small, I placed the water container in the backseat on the floorboard. I then added the tablets and swiftly closed the door. After an hour, I grabbed my respirator, and opened the backseat, removed the container and then started the car putting the vents on recirculate to be sure I got it all. I let it run for 20 mins. Once the timer was up, put the respirator back on, turned the car off, all the windows open and let the car air out. The outside temp was hovering around 60 with a nice gentle breeze. The car has a smell of a pool. It's not strong at all. Just a faint smell that is refreshing in a sense. I'm pretty sure after a few days, the smell will be non-existent. I am so incredibly pleased with the outcome and I won't hesitate to use in other applications. I'll even consider a smoker car again since I now feel I can get the smell completely out.

EDIT: The product is not faulty just because you didn’t use it correctly. If you used half a bag it makes absolutely no since to return to the area 20 minutes later. Also it’s gas. No closing a door won’t contain it. The package says let it work a few hours at minimum. Use it when you can leave the house for a few hours. I bought a house and the previous owner didn’t disclose they had a pet. Apparently it peed everywhere. The basement and an upstairs closet stank so bad. Especially when it gets hot. I cleaned, bleached, used enzymes primed the walls and nothing worked. The smell always came back. Anyway I found this followed the instructions and the smell is gone. Word to the wise. Use a mask unless you want to pass tf out. This stuff starts working instantly be ready to put it down and run. You will feel lightheaded if you breathe this stuff in. It’s strong af. I used it in the basement and could smell it all over my house when I came back a fews hour later. It smells like a swimming pool x100 Only issue it took forever to arrive after ordering. TLDR; This works

This really works, but you need to use it properly. First off, it's a really big bag, probably can use for 10 times. I placed a small cup inside a bucket as I don't have a large enough cup, and placed it in the car. Followed the instructions, 60ml of water and 15 small tablets, turned on internal fan to max and closed the door. Came back 1 hour later, turned off ventilation, closed the door. Came back 2 hours after that and it's done. There's a lingering chlorine smell for around 1-2 weeks, just open the window a bit when you drive and you'll be fine. I don't have pets or kids, it's just a 5 year old car and I'm especially sensitive to smells. It removes lingering smells so the car smells like nothing now, works better than a proper car shampoo because it even cleans up the ventilation duct. You don't need to remove air cabin filter or etc, honestly what I described above is all I did. My car is in the garage so no sun during that period. It really works, I tried all others apart from ozone and they are completely useless as compared to this.

Great product! Less does more. Do not use more than recommended. The longer the treatment the better outcome. Minimum 24 hours for great results. This stuff is amazing.

I bought a used car with a musty smoke smell that makes you think someone was smoking a fresh cig everytime you'd get inside. I looked online for a solution an needed something STRONG. I read the instruction pamplet that came with the tablets an used a 2 plastic containers with 23 tablets each an 2 an half oz of water. enough length to avoid spill over from the foaming. An also placed them each inside a opened small box on the passenger side an rear middle floor to catch anything that might spill out. I let it sit for 33 hours outside occasionally with 70 degrees weather. I was going to let it go longer but I got scared hearing the bleaching agent will strip the colors from the plastics an interior. Concerned, I went an just aired out the car rolling down the windows with my key fob to avoid having to manually go inside the car. The results are surprisingly excellent. The nasty smelly cig SMOKE seems to be GONE. I took a deep breath an I smelled some of the clean pool everyone mentioned. I also smelt some lemony scent too.. idk if it was the chemical guys JDM deodorizer I sprayed a couple days ago beforehand or the tablets, but either way great. I checked out the door panels an I didn't see any greening/fading. I'm going to apply a fabric cleaner to the leather interior again to be safe from any damage it possibly caused. Definitely try this if you want to remove smoke smell from your car or use them for general cleaning. So grateful for this product Update:May 27* I did another round with just one container with 22 tablets an this time removed the floor mats to let it seep into the carpet. I let it work for 5 hours. An it basically killed the smoke smell. I'm sure there's something going on inside the vents but I'm probably just going to use another method for reaching inside there. Again very pleased.

My first use of this stuff landed me in the EMERGENCY ROOM, which i had to be taken to by AMBULANCE!! I had a mildewy smell in my bathroom and had bought this stuff, so decided to give it a try..BIG MISTAKE. The bathroom is about 220 SQ ft or so, so I used the suggested amount which was half a bag of pellets. What they don’t tell you first off, is that “half a bag” is probably enough to FULLY GAS A 5000 SQ FT house!! I dropped the pellets in the water and left the room as instructed and closed the door. When i opened the door 20 minutes later, I was completely over taken by what can only be described as TEAR GAS..The smell and potency of the gas these pellets create is BEYOND BELIEF..This has to be similar to WW1 mustard gas..Thats how bad it is.. Once I inhaled this without realizing how dangerous it was, I was off on a 40 MINUTE coughing fit, eyes watering, And coughing so much it started becoming PAINFUL. Once the bathroom door was opened also, this gas leaked into the entire house..So my 1300 sq ft house became completely consumed with this gas..I tried airing it out, but when i went back inside thinking it was clear - I wound up inhaling more inside the house - and then I finally got to the point that I could not breathe at all..It felt like someone was stepping on my chest.. I had to call 911, and be brought to the hospital in an ambulance. Once they gave me oxygen and an IV of water my breathing improved. But now today the next day i feel TERRIBLE, am still coughing, and feel like I have a cold or something..This stuff did a REAL NUMBER on my body. My house ALSO NOW SMELLS LIKE A POOL, which is NOT what I was going for..This is ABSURD!! BE EXTREMELY CAREFUL WITH THIS STUFF, I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND USING IT INDOORS!! IT US IS TOO POWERFUL, THEY GIVE YOU THE COMPLETELY WRONG DOSAGE INFO - AND THEY DO NOT WARN PEOPLE HOW DANGEROUS OR POTENT THIS IS!! If you’re going into a war? And need something to use to gas the enemy? This would be good for that..Short of that this stuff should be BANNED!!! Totally RIDICULOUS - Amazon should PULL THIS PRODUCT!!
