Pedia-Lax Laxative Liquid Glycerin Suppositories for Kids, Ages 2-5, 6 CT, 3 Pack

I am a mom of a 3.5 year old who has always had belly troubles. I have tired changing her diet, increasing her water, increasing diner, giving fiber supplements, and also mirilax...but nothing had worked. She will pass hard stools larger than any adult would normally pass after days of whining and telling me she had to poop. She's now old enough that she is scared to pass a bowel movement because " it feels like a spike". She now hold her bowels for days because she is so afraid to go to the bathroom. Which clearly makes things so much worse.. I don't know if anything is more heart breaking as a mom as There is literally nothing i can do to help her or to.make her go. Last wrrki soent 45 minutes in the bathroom after 4 days or her whining in discomfort... Until she finally pooped. At that moment when tears down my cheeks I swore j would never put myself or her through that again. As she struggled to poop and i sat on the bathroom floor.... I ordered these pedialax liquid glycerin suppositories and the chewable probiotics. She hasn't taken enough to the chewables to regulate her yet or for me to see their affects....but we used the glycerin suppositories for the first time tonight. I gave her several hours of whining and trying to poop before using it....but once I did I was so impressed and relieved. First these already come prelubricated which is great ( I used extra just fir good measure),they are small which is another plus. My daughter let me use this effortlessly on her. The best part though... Within 1minute of me using this product mt daughter had passed the bowrk movement she had been struggling to take all day. It was not hard at all. I am so happy with this purchase...and relieved I have these as a back up when she gets back up which is often. Hopefully these will help teach her that pooping isn't suppose to be painful!!!

This is literally my last resort when my baby is backed up over several days and breaks into a sweat while pushing and cries so hard because of the pressure pain. As much as I hate doing this, it is so effective! She went within the hour (like 5 minutes) and kept going a couple more times throughout the day. Applying it is easy enough, I think these were pre-lubed but I used Vaseline along with it anyway. You have to kind of tilt it down at a slight angle while inserted to make sure you get enough out of the tube. Since using these I have found an oral alternative that works just as well so I’ll use that first if needed and if absolutely necessary I know these will do the trick.

Works better and faster than any other solution we found for constipated children, much better than oral MiraLax

Might sound odd but from the advice of my veterinarian I purchased these to help my sick dog get some relief and they worked quick.

Best laxative for potty training a toddler boy who withheld his poop. I purchased Oh Crap Poop Training lessons and these were recommended for toddlers who are withholders. After a couple days I had a toddler releasing poops in his potty. They work and they work fast!

This product works exactly as intended for our daughter. She just turned 3 but we have used these as needed for over a year now. She has suffered from occasional constipation and under her pediatricians suggestion we tried this. Works like a charm! We have had no problem with insertion. I only mention this as it appears that some people have had issues. She doesn't like these (who would?) but they don't seem to actually hurt her upon insertion. For us at least they insert very easily. I spin the applicator slightly as I insert, perhaps that helps. Once fully inserted it may take 2 or even 3 squirts to make sure that most of the fluid has been injected. Its fairly easy to tell though as the fluid is clearly visible in the bulb part of the applicator. Once injected the results are fairly quick. a year ago the result was almost instantaneous. Now she's a little older and has greater control of her sphincter so it takes a little longer. However it's rarely if ever longer than 5 minutes before we get the desired result. Its still a traumatic experience for her but she is immediately and very obviously relieved once its over. I can't and would never suggest these are perfect for everyone. Each child will be different. I whole-heartedly recommend at least try these, after talking to your pediatrician of course!.

My son has had trouble with intentionally holding in his stools ever since he started solids. He would go days, up to a week, without stooling. His pain was visibly worsening every day he hadn't passed a stool. After trying every type of laxative you can for babies (prune juice, feeding only laxative like foods, miralax in everything, massage, hot baths, flax seed oil, etc) his constipation continued. We had a barium enema and anorectal manometry test done, and the conclusion was that anytime he felt pressure to go #2, he would squeeze up the external sphincter and not let it out. So softening the poo (miralax, prunes) and oiling it up (flax seed oil), both did not fix the problem. The problem was needing a stimulant to make those muscles move and get the poop out. Pedialax does just this. My son can eat any type of food all day, and I try and give him one of these any day in which he has not gone #2 by evening. This has made him much more active and in a happier mood all day. We give him the suppository during a diaper change (one of us holding his kicking legs, the other administering), and within five minutes it's all out. This has worked EVERY TIME. We had less success with the pellet shaped solid melting suppositories, as those would just fall out. Liquid is best.

My 3 year old daughter was severally constipated. We tried the normal routes of diet change and she already drinks tons of water throughout the day and very active.
