I recently picked up the ORICO 5-Pack Hard Drive Carrying Cases, and they've been exactly what I needed for organizing and protecting my growing collection of drives. The Good Stuff: The dual compatibility is genuinely useful - these cases accommodate both 3.5" and 2.5" drives without any issues, which means I can finally standardize my storage solution instead of juggling different case types. The build quality feels reassuringly durable; they're made from sturdy material that gives me confidence my drives are actually protected, not just loosely contained. But here's what really sold me: the ease of use. If you've ever wrestled with those frustratingly tight cases that require two hands and a prayer to open, you'll appreciate these. They open and close smoothly without being difficult, yet still feel secure once latched. It's such a simple thing, but it makes a real difference when you're frequently swapping drives or doing inventory. Practical Benefits: Getting five cases in a pack is perfect for anyone with multiple drives. I use them for backup drives, old system drives I'm keeping for data recovery, and spare SSDs. They stack neatly, and I can actually see at a glance which drive is which if I label them. I purchased the 5 color set because I wanted to use the color to easily identify specific drives. I also purchased the version of the cases which included the 2-1/2" drop in bracket. I have a few of those sitting around. Previously, I've kept my drives in anti static bags and often inside the old boxes that come from WD and Seagate. That's fine but it looks mess. 1. I like these new cases for the way they stack and solidly connect to each other. 2. The cases come with soft rubber cushions already stuck inside to help hold the drives too. Simple but nice addition. 3. The cases all snap solidly shut. another nice feature. 4. The labels on the ends are on BOTH ends so doesn't matter which way around the case is (simple feature but again, nicely thought out) I can see one potential long term issue. The hinge is the folded plastic. I've had issues with this type of "hinge" in the past with other cases but I also should note, that normally happens after lots and lots of usage and after a handful or more years. If I could have ask for one improvement I'd like to see a pinned hinge instead but if these currently hold up then is it that big a deal? Time will tell. Overall though, impressed with fitting, stacking, solid closure mechanism etc and would definitely recommend. Oh and the 2-1/2" removable bracket I see that as a great option moving forward for all my current and future SSD drives.

Good SSD storage. Normally I bought Orico when it came to needing storage for extra HDD's but these SSD cases are a nice godsend in needing good storage, and I have a lot of SSD's that I bought cheaply over time before the AI craze jacked up prices. They are a bit different on the outside and inside compared to the HDD cases but these cases hold up to four ssd's so if you have a decent number, buying this pack is totally worth it.

These cases are pretty good. Each one can hold a single 3.5" drive, and has a removable insert that can hold four 2.5" drives. I wouldn't say it holds the drives very firmly and there's enough slop that they can move around a few millimeters in any direction. Overall they are pretty good and having a label on the sides of the case is nice to keep things well documented. They have a plastic hinge so it probably won't survive a lot of open/close cycles but otherwise it's not a problem.

I picked these up because of the 2.5" dividers. I have a bunch of 2.5 SSDs that I have just tossed into a box and wanted to give them a little more organization and love. These cases are great, store 4 2.5" drives in a single case and they are secure. I was even so impressed, I moved some spinning platters to the cases. I want to buy another buy 'just to have them,' but I still have one case available and no more drives to fill it with, I stay may do it anyways because I do have some 3.5 drives that I could use them one. The light padding (mine included spare pads) to keep the drives from bouncing around a ton or are a nice touch. For the price you can't be it.

Brought 4 NAS 3.5" WD Red drives half way across the world in my carry on bag with zero issues. They are filled with precut foam that gently hugs the drives to just the right size. The HDDs fit nicely, and while I did not have any 2.5" drives to test, the caddy that adapts to them looks just as sturdy as the rest of the case. They come with labels preinstalled on both ends if you are using them for archival purposes which is an added bonus. Overall, I very much recommend these for full protection of HDDs.

These drive boxes are the best I’ve ever used for spares & offsite backups. They not only work with 3.5” disks, but also come with a well built caddy for 4x2.5” drives in a single enclosure—great if you have legacy drives in that format. The tray fits snug, and has foam bumpers for anti-shock. I’ll be repeat buying these for additional drives I have in older “flip-top” cases. Great find; highly recommended!

They arrived today, and they are full already. Three things stand out to me. 1. They are not flimsy. The cases are ~2mm thick with a grid of thicker ribs. Foam inserts to prevent movement. 2. Each comes with an insert that can hold 4 2.5-inch disks 3. The outside of the case has grooves that allow multiple boxes stand snugly together. The hinge is moulded into the case, so time will tell how that holds up. My disks are for backup, so I don't expect to open the cases that often. I have a few 2.5-inch caddies left over, but I could print a box to hold them in a pinch. You get five cases so for five bucks each, a good value to protect historical files.
