I absolutely love this pen. It has four different color inks that are easily changed. If you are into stippling, this is the pen for you. I received the pen in good order and in a timely manner and I am very satisfied with its performance. I have already completed four drawings. Definitely would recommend it. The only drawback that I can think of is the battery life. It only lasts approx. 30 minutes in the battery mode. Most of my use is done with the USB connection. If you want to use it away from your computer, the USB cable is only approx. 30 inches, meaning if you want to use it for an extended period, you must work fairly close to your computer. You could also get a USB hub that has a longer cable if your drawing area is not near your computer.

This clever pen makes stippling a breeze. The charge cord is very short but easily remedied with an old phone charger. The charge lasts long enough for small drawings but can be plugged in for continuous use.

As a stippling artist, this pen was definitely a blessing. Do I believe it could be cheaper? Yes! But I do see the value over time. The only drawbacks would be that it loses charge if you don’t use it for awhile and I would recommend not using it longer than 30mins at a time as it gets warm when using it. That being said, considering the cons it is still an amazing pen that if you are a serious artist that uses stippling techniques and pen and ink as your primary medium then I do recommend having this pen in your repertoire. I haven’t seen anything out there that does the same and to be honest I don’t know how long this product will be out, so I do recommend getting one for eventual use.

this is such a great idea for a product, but it is made super cheap. it only holds a charge for 10 minutes if you are lucky. The ink that comes with it is not permanent. A week later i touched it and it smudges. So disappointing for commission work.

At around $50 I have to admit I was reluctant to even give this a look. But what the hell. I don't do pointillism all that much and the demos look OK. Pros: effective at performing all those dots in a sort-of-fluid hand motion. Not as bulky feeling as it is bulky looking. Charges easily and works for long enough. Comes with more ink. Cons: a little cumbersome to wield at first. NOISY. tap tap tap tap tap on low speed, taptaptaptaptap on high speed (can you imagine?!?) I can't see this thing being used for any length of time in the same building as my wife. This thing will stay at my shop and she'll never hear it, let alone SEE it, especially if she found out I paid... $50 bucks for this pen. The price is astounding. I don't know that I could rightly justify $30 for it, given that I don't see it so much as a truly useful tool, but more of a cute novelty. 3 stars because I think it's pretty well made for what task it does, -2 stars for how many slaps I deserve for buying the thing at this price.

Got my first one, only worked for 3 minutes on a full charge, call Amazon on a Friday and the replacement was here on Monday. Love this thing, worked almost 40 minutes on a full charge out the box! Cool beans. Tip: do not work on hard surface and work just of the tip of the pen. Do not apply needless pressure, enjoy.

I bought my Cuttlelola pen in December and absolutely love it. It's easy to use and makes even an amateur artist's work look impressive. I have all kinds of art supplies, although I am not a professional artist, and this pen is one of my favorites. A few weeks ago I had an issue with my pen and contacted the seller. I mailed it back to him and within a very short time he replaced it. Terrific customer service. If you're looking for a fun and unique present for someone or, like me, just want to indulge yourself once in a while, this is the way to go! Have fun!!!

This pen has 2 speeds and they both have their good uses but overall it is amazing and so helpful when drawing with the stippling technique.

I have always been drawn (not a pun) to pointellism, but due to an injury unable to do it myself. Here's freedom in a pen. At first, straight out of the box, I thought it was less than I had hoped for, it seemed a little weak, but once I charged it fully and had a play it was brilliant. My best advice is to get it at an angle and distance where it sounds a little like a cat purring and it's perfect. Even without this fine tuning it is a joy to create with, once you get the hang of the speed it is possible to create dashes, lines and perfectly spaced dots as well as the shading. It is a calming and addictive process and hard to put down once you have hit 'the zone' using it. Also much cheaper on Amazon than other sites. Treat yourself!
