Nail Quail - Strong Will Anti-Nail Biting Click Pen, 7ml, Made in USA

I have an anxiety disorder and have bitten my nails for like 20 years. My nails always look bad, my teeth are damaged, and my fingers are always red and bleeding. I don’t ever really know I’m doing it- it’s completely subconscious! I’ve tried tons of other stuff: I would bite off press ons in 2 days, I managed to make acrylics lift (and subsequently ripped them off and damaged my nails SO bad), I’ve tried wearing gloves, and of course I have tried bitter nail polish. Nothing has worked and I just accepted this was how I was going to live life lol. I’m getting married soon and I decided I wanted to try one more time to fix my habit and bought nail quail as kind of a hail mary. Friends, this is the nastiest most vile tasting stuff ever. I brushed my teeth literally 10 times the first day I had it on. That didn’t help, the taste lingered. I learned VERY quickly to not put my fingers in my mouth. This pen is so unbelievably awful and disgusting that I have nails for the first time ever!!! It is easy to apply and carry with me, but the stuff doesn’t really wash off with basic hand washing so I don’t need to reapply that often (I still do, but). It has no smell and no weird greasy or oily feeling as well as basically zero drying time. It feels just like really disgusting water lol. 100/10 recommend!!!!

From being a chronic nail hiter my whole life, this stuff does the trick! I am still using it so I don't have any photos to share but this stuff is DISGUSTING. Which helps you not bite your nails! Remembering to put it on is the hardest part but I like how quickly it dries and how it is portable!

Overall, this is a good product, but having used more traditional nail-polish-type deterrants in the past, I found this to be less effective. I'm giving it four stars due to the application being very convenient and different, but the result was that I ended up biting my nails again more often, as I will explain. I am a lifelong heavy nail biter, and despite using deterrants for 2 years and trying very hard to curb the habit, it's still a challenge. For the last 2 years I used Mavala stop nail polish, which has an intensely bitter taste and is basically a clear bottle of nail polish with bitter chemical added. As long as I keep this nail polish on, I can't bite my nails. Although the polish is water resistant, it wears off in about 2-3 days and by the end of the second day, I may find myself putting my fingers in my mouth some and attempting to bite my nails despite remnants of the bitter polish still being there. This is where these deterrants all hit a snag for me. If I'm not diligent about keeping it on my nails, I go back to biting. Which brings me to the Nail Quail. I bought it to try something different. This product has a similar strong bitter taste, and the applicator is so much more convenient than the nail polish bottle. Initially I was extremely happy with the product because of how much more quickly I could apply it to my nails, and it dries fast too as it is water-based. However, also because it is water-based, I found that within a single day it has already washed almost completely off of my hands (I wash my hands regularly throughout the day, especially when I'm working). To use this effectively, I need to reapply it multiple times each day, instead of ~3 times each week. That doesn't mean it's totally ineffective, but for my case it isn't perfect either. The shape of the product is like a marker, and I think it's meant to be slipped into a pocket or purse to carry around and reapply when out and about. I haven't done this, but I suppose I'll need to start. If I could get a formula of this that was more water resistant with the same applicator tip, I think it would be just about perfect.

Definitely helps stop my son from biting his nails. I even tried it and the taste is horrible. Not sure why anyone would want to put their fingers in their mouth after having that on their nails!

The idea is great but getting the liquid out of the pen is frustrating. Sometimes its instant and sometimes it takes a lot of clicks to get a drop out. It works well for my kids.

My teen son has a habit of biting his nails even skin. With this he was throwing up do to taste and now his hands are healing. Teens are lazy and this pen is easy application. He loves it and its been 5 days and no biting. Will definitely order more.

5 year old daughter stop sucking her thumb. Tastes disgusting. Stays on all day.

I kept it at my desk, and after over 15 years of a bad nail biting habit, I finally stopped. The marker tip makes it so convenient and easy to apply, no matter where you are or what you’re doing. Dries fast and tastes horrible, the only product that has ever worked for me. It’s been over a month since I stopped biting!!

I had tried so many things for my 6 years old to stop sucking her thumb at night ( dr thumb, thumb guard…) only this is working!

My son is a anxiety nail bitter and also special needs and we had tried everything else out there to help to stop biting and let me tell you this stuff works!!! Unfortunately I can not find it to buy it again so he has gone back to biting. I needed up getting some on my finger without knowing and yup definitely nasty tasting🤢
