What size cable glands do you need?

With SWA cable you will need either BW type(for indoor) or CW type(for outside-ip66 rating) glands, recently fitted a 25m run to garage in 6mm 3 core SWA cable o/d 17mm approx) with which i used CW20s (damp garage/cellar) a little bit fiddlier than BW, but worth the extra protection. I found it quite tight. 10mm 3core SWA has an o/d of 19mm approx, best advise is to order a pair of both 20mm and 25mm, at the price you can get them for on Amazon, then you decide which is is easier for you. Don't forget to fit everything onto the cable (shroud, nut, ring, etc) before fitting cables through gland body.
