Best for the price!
Very surprised by the quality of this microphone, I think it's one of the best at its price. It connects via a jack connector and it can be used with a camera or a smartphone. The cable is also very long. Recommend!

Surprisingly good
I have had quite a number of microphones and I've been using them for more than 20 years, so it's hard to surprise me. But BY-M1 Pro surprised me. It is good. Really, really good, way above the price. Comparing to Zoom lavalier LMF-2 microphone and the one that comes with Saramonic UwMic9, Boya has definitely better sound quality than both. Responsive in all frequencies (at least those that matter), pretty flat, neutral characteristic, not too boomy. Just right. Boya Pro seems like a sweet spot between quality and price. To get a better sounding lavalier microphone you would need to buy something really expensive. Interesting thing: there is not much reverb coming from Boya, at least comparing to other lavaliers. BY-M1 Pro is the closest to a dynamic microphone I've ever used. You can still hear all the background obviously, but it is relatively quiet comparing to your voice. Well done, Boya. The additional power featire works well and is more useful than you think. It means you can connect it to anything. Provided adaptor was good for XLR/TRS in EXH-6 for Zoom, but to connect it to a 3.5mm jack in Zoom F1 you will need to buy a TRRS to TRS 3.5mm adapter. Buy it, you will need it sooner or later. When I connected the microphone to XLR/TRS, there was a usual problem with a distinctive buzzing noise. It is expected, unfortunately. My Zoom is connected to a laptop by USB, so there are two different power sources: one coming from computer, one from the microphone. It causes strange special effects and it's the reason for buzzing noises. Switching off my USB keyboard made most of the buzz go away. Super strange, isn't it? Still, it's a common problem with connecting too many things together with separate power sources. I'm not sure if the microphone is to blame at all. So if you experience the buzzing problem, don't focus on the microphone alone. It's a more complicated problem. Besides, most of times you can still fix it. The microphone cable is way too long for me, but fortunately there is a strip on it that keeps the excess cable tidy. Good thinking. Overall quality seems solid enough, I see nothing to worry about. Generally, for the sound quality alone, it is cheaper than it deserves to be. Good stuff! I'm sure there is nothing better of there for that price, so if you need a lavalier that's the one to buy.

Ottimo audio
