Easy to hook up. Works great. I think it is great protection Just make sure you have a full 12 volt . You might want to check that out first.

Product picture carefully cropped to make it look like it's flush mount but it's not. It's surface mount. It does say surface mount in the description though. You can just see the surface mount crew hole on the right side, but on the left side they cropped it out. Can't comment on how well it works since I couldn't use it. I needed a flush mount and bought this by mistake due to the misleading picture.

Nothing more dangerous than something you can't see that can kill you - so having this in my motorhome was a must as it should be for anyone that uses propane or has a risk of exposure from carbon gas poisoning. The motorhome I have is pretty old and the unit within just as old. I've read they should be replaced every 5 years. Made sense to replace the one that was over 20 years old. I already have a CO detector but the added feature of CO detection just adds an additional layer of protection, which I like. To install I just pulled the screws from my old one and cut the wires leaving enough slack for the new unit, which I attached with wire nuts and then screwed the new unit where the old one was. This unit was slightly more narrow, but fit just fine. It's well constructed, easy to install and so far has worked reliably.

used this product on my fun finder camper trailer. Had to ad additional wall board to make it fit because the openning was too large. but it was no problem to do. Works as advertised. Great ready for safe camping.
