What size of drill bits did you use to predrill the hardwood? Manual suggests 1/8'' but I think it's too thin for the provided screws.

Hello, Thank you for your interest! 1/8" or 3mm drill bits are what we recommend. The main purpose of the pre-drilled hole is to poke a hole in the laminate. That will allow the screw to go in more easily. Please let us know if you have any further questions. Thank you!

What is the length of the screws? will a 1 inch thick mdf desk work with it?

Hello! Thank you for your inquiry on the DESK-AC06-2C! They are 3/4" screws and will work with that desk. Please let us know if we can assist further. Thank you!

Can heavy duty double sided tape be used to hang these?

Yes that should work. I used screws by the right double sided tape could work.

How thick is the material? I am trying to figure out if I can slide the top (aka the overhang) through a gap in my desk.

Hello! Thank you for your question. The thickness of the material from the DESK-AC06-2CW is 1.5mm. Thank you!
