No. Just buy the emitter separate and get adapter from Lowe’s. It locks in.

Does this connect to 3 inch schedule 40 white drain pipe or do I need an adapter?

Hi, (3" Pop UP Emitter with 3" drain elbow) will need a 3" Flexible Coupler (NDS # 56-33) to connect to 3" Sch. 40 pipe.

Does this emitter have a spring to prevent the cap from getting sucked into my mower?

No. I've found that if the flange is flat with the yard I've had no problems mowing over them. I did have one that was set a little high and clipped it with the mower.
