Nemo GRABO Extra Battery

Extra power is a necessity, not an extravagance...

I purchased a Nemo Grabbo and a spare battery a little over 3 months ago. Today was the first time I needed to use the spare battery and it did not work. It was dead and would not accept a charge. I contacted Amazon to get a replacement but was told that I was past the 30 day return period. (Specifically 6 days past the 30 day period). I asked if Amazon could just replace the bad battery but was told no. I checked the Nemo web site and found that they offer a 1-1 1/2 year warranty when purchased through an authorized dealer, but shorten the warranty to 30 days when purchased through Amazon. So apparently I am stuck. I paid $60 for a battery that won’t work and neither the manufacturer or Amazon will make it right.This is pretty poor that Amazon sells a new product but cannot offer a new product warranty. It is also pretty poor that Nemo won’t warrant their products when sold through Amazon. I therefore do not think I will be doing any business with nemo and I will be very suspicious of purchasing things through Amazon until I can verify they will honor the normal warranty for the product.
