I find that the bolts that go into the mirror are too long for my liking. I had to cut them so they wouldn't be visible. Overall, and so far, it works well and has remained as sturdy as it was on the first day

I have been using two of these for several years now different vehicles and two different Rove R2 cams (older single & now a new Rove2 Pro dual). They are reasonably priced so I put one mount in my work truck and one in my personal vehicle. This allowed me to easily unplug and slide the cam out of my personal vehicle in the mornings and put it in the work truck and transfer back at the end of the day. Saved from having to purchase two separate cams however I did pick up a second shorter USB cord for the temp work truck mounting. Cord was perm. installed in personal vehicle. This clamp mount was also super easy to remove from the work truck when it went in for service (so it would not disappear), or into new truck, etc. It is metal with plastic adapters with a rubber cushion so it does not scratch the mirror post yet holds very securely with two wing nuts. I like that it can also be adjusted further up behind the mirror than some for a more stealthy install since the Rove cameras are more block shaped that I do not care for. They include several adapters and one of them worked perfectly to slide the Rove cam into it. I have since upgraded to a newer Rove R2 Pro dual cam and also a new personal vehicle. This same mount fit and everything transferred perfectly although I did have to purchase a new wire kit as well. I do not like using self stick tapes as the heat we have here in AZ literally makes any of them useless and unless you actually live here for some time most cannot understand how our extreme heat literally destroys everything. I also wanted a removable option and this mount is perfect for what I needed. I would highly recommend this mount over any others I have seen especially for a Rove2.

I purchased this to use in my wife's 202 Kia Seltos with a Rove R2-4K Dash Cam. If you own a 2024 Seltos, be warned it is a very tight fit between the mirror and windshield, but with a little patience it can mounted in a few minutes. The mount itself seems very secure on the mirror. We've been using it for over a week now and it shows no signs of loosening. I would have given it 5 stars, but the it does not perfectly fit the Rove R2-4K camera. I was able to get the camera attached to the mount, but it took a little elbow grease to do so. Again, it seems sturdy at this point, so crossing my fingers it does not work itself off the mount after months of road vibration, etc. If AZDOME included an adapter that matched the camera, this would have been an easy 5 Stars, but I understand all cameras are different and it's hard to include adapters for every camera. You can make it work though, and this is way better than using the suction cup mounts and I'm not a fan of putting anything sticky on the windshield.

Items was as described. My Rove R2-4K's original suction mount broke and since it would regularly fall due on very hot days I decided to go with this alternate mount design. Installation was straightforward although I did drop the little wingnut a couple times when trying to get it threaded on. Maybe that's why they include an extra one. Seems pretty secure but it is made of plastic so time will tell if heat or stress will affect it.

This thing is freaking awesome. My Rove dashcam originally came with a suction cup, and of course it would randomly just fall off while driving. This thing has saved me from that. It’s amazing, just easily screws on your rear view mirror, so just make sure there’s a bar it can clip on. Buy it!!!

So far works as intended. It was a tight fit for my Rove R2-4k Pro but after letting it sit in the car under the heat for about a day I was able to push it through all the way. To early to tell about the long term but it affordable and it works!

(Need a zero star option). Just received this product. It comes with different attachments so it can be used for three different models of dash cams. The one that is for my dash cam (Rove R2-4K) doesn’t work. The little plastic slide mount that should attach to my dash cam doesn’t fit because it’s too wide. Only $9 but still annoying to order such a simple product that turns out to be useless.

I bought this knowing it didn’t fit the Rove R2-4K Pro after reading reviews. The reviews stated the problem, and after looking at pictures of item, I was confident I could make it work. After a little filing on the connector, it worked just fine. I like not having to use the window suction cup anymore and wondering when the heat would make it fall off, which it did a couple of times. It now sits up a little higher, looks a little neater, and doesn’t obstruct the view. I’m very satisfied at this point.

The Dash Camera Mirror Mount Holder Kit is a huge improvement and does not require a suction cup, or adhesive mount to the windshield. It mounts directly to the rear view mirror mount. Very stable and won't come off in high temperatires.

Does not work with Transcend dash cam
