Very good quality cable, it's not 70% insulation and 30% conductor like some others on the market. For being a thick 1/0 cable, its has the flexibility of a 4awg cable so it can be routed anywhere you need it to go with ease.

If you are working with 12 volt batteries powering an inverter, then you need very short cables and this needs to be the smallest wire you use. This is NOT 1-gauge wire, it is 1/0 AWG which is larger than 1-gauge. You can find a plethora of matching crimp-on lugs here on Amazon so you can have the exact cable pieces you need, no longer do you need to settle for pre-made and often undersize offerings. I received a 10-foot piece of red and a 10-foot piece of black in 1/0 AWG size. The cost per foot is fair and the fast delivery can't be beat. Lets face it, when you're hooking up high-amperage DC circuits the connection between the battery and inverter is the last place you should skimp. The fast Amazon Prime delivery gets you all the cable you need to light up that shiny new 2000 watt inverter. I use a ratcheting cutter to cleanly slice off pieces of this cable which fit neatly into high-current copper lugs. After trying lower priced crimping tools I moved up to a hydraulic crimper which works fantastic with this cable and makes totally professional crimps. I bought the cutter and crimper here on Amazon. The jacket on this cable is heavy duty rubber. I don't like the smell of the rubber so I hung it out on my porch overnight to air it out, now it's fine.
