Small packages. Palatable crickets.
These pouches are quite small. Still, each provided about one small snack. The bugs initially taste like roasted pumpkin seeds, but they leave an astringent or dusty sort of aftertaste. It may be useful to know that they donโt have most of their appendages. So eating them is a bit like eating seeds.

Delicious
I ate a couple of the cricket packages tonight. The BBQ and Buffalo sauce. I thought that it was delicious! The crickets were very nutty (my first time). I really enjoyed it! Now, my wife's reaction was not the same!!! ๐คฃ๐คฃ๐คฃ๐คฃ๐คฃ She basically ran away from me when I was crunching away!! I walked towards her and she just kept saying, "Nope, no, no nope!!" For me, great product and delicious!!!

Made for a fun video..
Purchased these to eat on my YT channel with the kids. I was kind of upset by the small packages, but we got over it pretty quick once we started eating them. Once you get past the texture, they make for a decent little snack. Spicy Cayenne - Not much flavor...Pretty bland, but gave a nice burn in the aftertaste. Buffalo Wing - Pretty good! Kind of sweet, but tasted decent overall. My youngest loved this flavor. Original - Tasted like a saltine cracker. Not bad. One of the best of the bunch. Bacon - My personal favorite. It tasted exactly like the charred bits that come off a piece of well-cooked bacon. Absolutely delicious! Cheesy Ranch - More like foot. Tasted like a dirty sock smells after a hard day of hiking. This flavor should be abandoned. This flavor should be banished. This is not a flavor meant for human consumption. Animals will avoid this. Flies won't even bother investigating. As a last resort in a survival situation, I would rather not survive than eat cheesy ranch. It was that bad. Haha Price - Please...Come on...Really?

Bland and Pricey Novelty, Try Buffalo Worms Instead
I know they're insects, and I want to like insects in food as they are healthy alternatives to red or even lean meats, but this is just bland. Decent novelty I guess, but if you are looking for a 'gateway bug' that doesn't turn you off in its blandness, try buffalo worms or buffalo worm powder (much more protein than mealworms and a light and nice flavor compared to crickets), or waxworms (sweet and are good for cookies, though they are fatty). You could use buffalo worms in more foods since the flavor is lighter but still high in protein, but they are not as easy to find as crickets or mealworms. You even could breed them if you could provide high heat and regular kitchen scraps, turn your leftovers into high protein meal?, sign me up. If you're adventurous, you could try black soldier fly larva or even cockroaches; they surprisingly taste about as decent as crickets when farmed and not hunted from your trash bin.

Better than the competitor!
I am an educator, and for the last 5 years I have taught a end of the year unit on Entamophagy. My fifth graders always have a blast. This was my first year to buy/try this brand, and it far exceeds it's "not to be named" competitor. The seasoning tastes fresher, and the insects were whole for the most part, not just bits. It felt more like an enjoyable snack, and less like a novelty. Hope you love them as much as I and ALL 48 of my students did!

First time bug-eater; was not impressed.
This was the first time I've ever eaten bugs. I bought this product because there was a variety of flavors and I figured if I liked at least one of them it'd be money well-spent. My hopes were not met, though. I tried the "original" first to have something to compare the rest to. They didn't taste bad, but they weren't really good either. The flavor was a little smokey and the initial bite had a nice crunch, but the cricket quickly took on a texture similar to sawdust. The other flavors were very lackluster, with no real difference in flavor than the original. The Cayenne flavor had a bit of heat, but it was still accompanied by the "original" flavor. If I had to pick a favorite out of the five I received, it would have to be the buffalo flavor. It is the only one that had any noticeable flavor difference, but it was still a very mild flavor.

Fun and tasty
I bought these for my Earth Science class. We talk a lot about sustainability in the class. Normally we show a ted talk on eating insects and give the students crackers made from crickets. I found these and thought this would be a fun thing to try. The students had a blast and a lot of them enjoyed the crickets. The only downside to this product is the price, but that is to be expected. I will be buying this product again.

Exciting Experiential Activity for Kids!
I ordered these for a Science investigation in a summer school class of kids ranging 1st to 6th grade. The crickets arrived on time in nice packaging. The whole experience generated so much excitement and engagement. It turned out to be loads of fun! We did lessons based on edible insects, tasted the crickets, and then went around to other classes and to the district office and offered tastes to others. We had so much fun! I asked the kids to comment on Google Classroom about the experience. Here are the comments: AD: "I think we should give them 4 stars and I thought they were ok." CJ: "I thought that the crickets were amazing 5 out of 5 4 me." DE: "your Crickets are delicious I give you 5 stars" (DE had a BLAST with the crickets) AH: "I think we should give them 2" (AH really struggled with the gross-out gag mindset, but was a super good sport and tried them anyway.) LM: "I would give a 4." RLG: "I think i would give them 5." APN: "The Crickets were very very very very very very very good 5 out of 5." We thought the crickets tasted like dried ground nuts and seeds with chip flavorings. We had flavors like bacon, cheesy ranch, and buffalo wings. The packages came with a silica packet that needs to be removed. The packages are attractive and have nutritional content labels. We knew crickets were a good source of protein, but we were surprised by how much B12 is in them. We recommend you check the weight (ounces) so you know what to expect as the packages are quite small. We still had enough to share with something like 25 people with enough leftover for three boys who were chain-eating them like popcorn. We received a really nice follow-up message from Charles Wilson of Cricket Flours. We are wondering if he might like to correspond with our class. Thanks for providing us the means for such a fun day! ETA: Did it again the following year. Still a big hit!
