I trimmed a 5×7 to fit ours. I believe it's closer to a 4×6 size

shouldnt it say my brother and I?

For proper grammar, it should say "My brother and me". It's polite to reference the brother first, but altogether grammatically incorrect to reference "I". For instance, you wouldn't say "This is I." Hence, "This is me," or "My brother and me", or "Me and my brother."
