Strong arm and connection
Amazing mic arm. It holds the heavy mic I have easily. My last mic arm connection broke and this one looks strong and welded together. The extension is great so the stand can br attached further from me. The clamp to attach to desk is well padded and will not damage my desk at all.

Seriously great for the price
I've been doing voiceovers for my corporate elearning work for many years. I've used desk tripods, desk weighted base stands, floor stands with boom arms, and now this small desk clamp boom arm. This is by far my favorite of the types of ways to have my mic get to my mouth. I have it mounted on a shelf that's about 3 feet above the surface of my desk, and it comes down plenty far and turns in exactly the right directions to have the mic in the right spot. I'm using a cheap condenser mic from some offbrand Chinese place, also found here on Amazon, and it's a small upright version that you have to speak into the front of. Fits perfectly into this boom arm and gets right to the spot I need it. I've only used the arm a couple of times since I got it a couple of weeks ago, but I'm quite happy with the build quality -- all metal, lots of pivot points, good springs, and no squeaks. Stays in place whether I have it pulled to me or pushed up and away. Amazing deal for such a low price!

Gets the job done at an inexpensive price point!
I really wasn't expecting much, so I can definitely say I'm not disappointed. That having been said, let's start with the good. First, all the important parts are metal, which is nice. I have seen others that have a plastic adapter piece to fit various size mics, but this one is made with brass, so it all fits nicely and feels sturdy. I have a Blu Snowball and this stand works great with it. Fit is good, and it has no trouble at all supporting the weight. The knobs to adjust tightness work "ok" and I don't get the impression they'll fail easily, but I'm skeptical of their long term reliability. Now for the not-so-great. It does feel slightly flimsy. It doesn't wobble terribly or anything, but I've definitely seen better workmanship. Still, for the price, one can't really complain. The biggest grievance I have with it is the non-adjustable hinges are _very_ tight. I can take the bottom set of springs off and there's no worry about slippage. Of course, this means that adjusting it can be challenging since you can't just easily push it away. It usually requires two hands for me to adjust it. A minor niggle, but if you're one of those people that can't stop adjusting your mic (you know who you are) you might want to look for something that adjusts a little more easily. My only other complaint (but really just a nit pick) is that I wish it were longer. I have a fairly deep desk (think Ikea) and I can't easily mount it to the back of the desk and bring it all the way across to me without it feeling super awkward. I fixed this by mounting it to the side of my desk. Plus, if I'm being fair, the range and range of motion is about par for the course for this type of design. Overall, I'd say it's a worthy investment if you're looking for a cheap mic stand. Even more so since you don't get the pop filter and other things that normally drive up the prices on these things. Still, if you want those things, then you have to look elsewhere. If you just want something simple that works, this should be great.

Very good quality, Sturdy
First things I like to say is that this is a scissor arm that CAN handle the weight of a Blue Yeti -- a fantastic, but notoriously heavy microphone. Simple to install, nicely constructed, excellent instructions including a rundown of the issue with some older Blue Yetis that were manufactured with the wrong size bolt. It even included a small roll of thread tape just in case, which I thought was above and beyond what most companies would provide. Adjustment after the fact is easy, the whole setup feels very sturdy. Load-bearing capabilities are fast and easy to adjust just by removing a pair of springs and moving a single screw. The default configuration is for lighter to average-weight microphones, but if you have a Blue Yeti, you're going to want to adjust it for the heavier load, it makes a huge difference. The instruction booklet that comes with it is very clear on how to do this and the entire process takes 5 minutes or less. Overall, I'm incredibly pleased with my purchase and would recommend it to anyone looking for an inexpensive arm to get their recording equipment up off of their desk! I will be coming back to purchase from Aokeo again, best experience I had!

Works as intended.
Cheap, sturdy, fits the Fifine K669B. Can't complain. My only issue is the mount, I have a metal beam going around the underside of my desk so I can't really rely on it staying attached, but it's hooked on the little bit that it has. That's more of a me problem not a product problem. Great arm though, I couldn't ask for more for what I paid. Seems like it holds a fair bit of weight too due to it being somewhat stiff to adjust. Not mad about that.

The part holding the mic thing broke within a month of gentle use. It worked good before, but it broke

Does the trick well!
I'll admit when I first got this item, I was a bit concerned about quality as the box seemed so small. It came unpadded in a bag as well (which is more on the fault of packaging at amazon) However! It was a breeze to set up and held my Blue Yeti mic and Radius perfectly! My monitors are both around 24" so it fit right over very nicely. I imagine if you had bigger monitors you may need to size up on an arm that could reach better, or just try out a different placement. I'd say the only thing I've noticed which is (barely) an issue would be the echo effect of the metal springs. I only notice it however if I put a cup down heavily for example. If you are streaming, this can be picked up on the mic, but isnt too bothersome. I have tried to slam my table with my hand, out of curiosity, but haven't heard the same effect. Overall pretty pleased with this purchase

Good for the price
This is the 2nd time I bought this exact arm. My first one worked well for many years expect 1 issue. The small metal insert that slides into the desk mount got dented and slowly broke over time making the whole arm wobble and hard to move to the point where I just threw it out. Now that could be user error, me tightening the bolt too much and all. On my 2nd one now and I noticed something a little off. The screws (not all but some) are rusted. It's mostly surface rust no big deal but I just find it a little strange. Besides that the over all build and quality is solid so I can't complain for the price. If I had 1 recommendation, It would be to fill the metal insert with something to prevent any possible warping or denting. Maybe sealing the small line down the middle and adding a threaded bolt if that would be cheaper. Either way quality product I do recommend.

Microphone Boom Arm
I recently had the opportunity to try out a microphone boom arm, and I must say, it provided a convenient and professional solution for positioning my microphone. Here's my review of the microphone boom arm I used. The microphone boom arm I tested offered a sturdy and adjustable design. It was made of durable materials such as metal or steel, ensuring stability and longevity. The construction felt solid, and the joints and hinges were well-built, allowing for smooth and precise adjustments. One of the standout features of the microphone boom arm is its flexibility in positioning. The boom arm allows you to easily position your microphone at the desired height, angle, and distance. This adjustability is particularly useful for finding the optimal microphone placement, whether you're recording vocals, podcasting, streaming, or conducting voiceovers. Being able to position the microphone exactly where you need it can greatly improve sound quality and reduce unwanted noise. The microphone boom arm also helps to reduce desk clutter and frees up valuable workspace. By securely mounting your microphone on the boom arm, you can keep your desk surface clear and have more room for other equipment or activities. This is especially beneficial if you have a limited workspace or need to keep your setup clean and organized. Installation and setup of the microphone boom arm were relatively straightforward. Most boom arms come with clamp or desk mount options, allowing you to securely attach the arm to your desk or table. Some models may also include cable management features, which help to keep your microphone cable neatly organized and prevent tangling. It's important to ensure that your microphone is compatible with the boom arm's mounting mechanism and weight capacity. Durability and stability are essential aspects of a microphone boom arm. The boom arm should be able to securely hold your microphone in place without sagging or wobbling. The models I tested provided excellent stability and maintained their position even with heavier microphones. However, it's important to follow the manufacturer's weight recommendations and not exceed the specified limit to avoid potential damage or instability. Portability is another consideration, especially if you plan to use the boom arm in different locations or for on-the-go recording. Some microphone boom arms offer a folding or collapsible design, allowing for easy storage and transport. This feature is particularly useful for content creators who need to set up their recording equipment in different environments. In conclusion, a microphone boom arm offers a convenient and professional solution for positioning your microphone. With its flexibility, durability, and clutter-reducing benefits, the boom arm enhances your recording setup and improves sound quality. Whether you're a podcaster, musician, streamer, or content creator, a microphone boom arm is a worthwhile investment that can greatly enhance your recording experience.
