If you're serious about bodybuilding, or at least about gaining muscle and being a regular at the gym, chances are that you've done your research on protein supplements. Whey protein is fast releasing/absorbing. If you are looking for a supplement before bed/meal replacement once in a while, casein might be the way to go. I've been buying this product for about 1.5 years now and I'm totally satisfied with it. Let me break it down a little bit. - It tastes GREAT! Almost like a smoothie. - It mixes well with water, milk, coconut water (lol). - Peanut Butter - Bread sandwich with a Casein shake - Oh lord, it tastes heavenly. - I take Whey protein as well, so I can't really quantify the effectiveness of casein separately, but I can tell you have I have gained considerable muscle overall and have been able to build some strength as well. - Post workout recovery has been quicker, in my opinion, since this is extra protein intake. - It's *slightly* more grainy than ON 100% Whey, but that's okay! I think it's reasonably priced. I'm a huge fan of optimum nutrition and I am a vegetarian. I can use all the protein I can get and I totally don't mind buying casein in addition to 100% Whey. PS: Casein + Plain oats taste great! I used to have oatmeal with Whey but thrown in Casein shake with regular oats, it tastes SO MUCH better, I actually enjoy having oatmeal.

I drink this before bed to help with recovery and that extra bit of protein. It taste great and I feel it helps me sleep faster/better. To get it to 100% dissolve, I use room temp water to mix it then refrigerate a few hours before bed. You're left with a creamy and clump-free drink!

Honestly, I got this huge tub of casein for a STEAL when I purchased it. It’s not expired, had both seals, mixes well.. yano, all the bells and whistles! Going from the chocolate flavor to the chocolate peanut butter flavor is definitely a noticeable change. The chocolate is absolutely amazing but the chocolate peanut butter look a bit longer to get used to.. just has a somewhat tad off nutty flavor i guess you can say. I love the taste of it now though and am extremely happy with it especially for the price I was able to snag it for. Casein is casein at the end of the day.. I’m definitely not complaining.

I'm a fan of Optimum Nutrition products. Good reputation for quality, their products usually mix well, most (maybe all?) are gluten-free (important for me, maybe not for others). Casein doesn't mix as well with milk in my experience, but I think that's just the nature of the type of protein used, not any fault of ON. I like to mix 8 oz water w/ a scoop of this protein, mix, then add 4 oz milk - that way it mixes well without any chunks, and tastes great. It satisfied my sweetness cravings pretty well. I've also sprinkled a bit of this protein in with Greek yogurt, flax seed and almond chunks to use as a fairly healthy flavoring for my yogurt. I'd buy it again.

I love this brand and have been purchasing whey protein for many years. I like the taste of this protein and love the benefits of casein like slower digestion. The only issue with this protein is dissolvability. I like to make a protein shake every morning with my Nutribullet and add ice, fruit, protein powder, and water or almond milk. The protein shakes made with casein are icy and chunky. The same shake made with Optimum Nutrition whey is super creamy. I would love to know if anyone has found the secret to making a creamy protein shake with casein, or if there's a flavor that's better than others for dissolvability. For now, I've started adding the casein protein powder to oatmeal and it's delicious!

Really good, can also be mixed in warm milk for a hot chocolate protein on a cold day.

This protein doesn't taste very good, is super thick, doesn't mix well at all...but if you're looking for a delicious shake go to Baskin Robins. This is high quality Casein for a great price. I'm drinking at night before bed and its very filling. Whats also great is since it breaks down slow it helps control my appetite in the morning so I'm not tempted to eat a huge breakfast. I've been using Optimum Nutrition products for a while and they are fantastic! Low in calories, sugar, and fat and high quality protein with lots of amino acids. Highly recommended.

This casein powder mixes well in coffee and fills you up, but I found it to be overly sweet. I also did not taste any peanut butter at all. I will be searching for another casein protein that dials down the sweetness.

This is the first casein protein supplement that I have used after starting gymming. I started going to gym not to lose weight (am athletic built), but to build muscle mass. And my workouts were rigorous upper and lower body workouts. After a month of going without any protein supplement, I and my trainer both felt that a whey supplement would be needed, simply because my daily protein intake was not inline with the workouts that I was doing. But whey is fast acting protein which is to be taken right after your workout. For a month or so, I was taking whey protein also before bedtime with milk. But that had to change since at bedtime, a slow digesting protein like casein is recommemded. This is so that your muscle synthesis goes unhindered even at night when you are not eating anything. Hence I ordered this. First things first. The jar has a outer seal (on the jar lid) which has a ON hologram. Check this first. In many authentic ON supplements available in India, there is no moisture proof seal after opening the initial outer seal. This is normal. Initially upon finding the absence of inner seal, I did get anxious regd the authenticity of the supplement I ordered (esp since I have great trust in items fulfilled by Amazon ... and this was one). I got in touch with ON customer care and sent them pictures of batch no, mfg date and exp date, jar front and back. Got a prompt reply confirming the authenticity of the product I ordered (this one was imported in India by Neulife). Whew!!! My trust was intact. :)) You too can do this check after ordering ON products to check its authenticity. Secondly. ON has authorized retailers in India (Neulife and Healthkart as of 13-Jan-2015). When you verify the authenticity of the product from ON customer care by sending them pictures of the product and barcode and batch no, they usually reply that the batch no is valid or not. They also mention that they do not guarantee the authenticity of the ON product if it is not distributed via their authorized retailers (Neulife and Healthkart as of 13-Jan-2015). Till date, I have ordered ON Casein twice from Primarc Pecan Retail since it sells items fulfilled by Amazon, and like I said earlier - I have trust in items fulfilled by Amazon. One jar sold by Primarc Pecan Retail was imported in India by Neulife and the other by Primarc Pecan itself. I trust Primarc Pecan. I have been using Whey Protein bought from this seller, but I would really like Primarc to be one of the authorized retailers of ON (which they are not currently). So that I can rest assured that the item I buy is authentic and genuine. Primarc Pecan: If you are reading this, please do the needful asap. I take ON Casein at bedtime with cold milk. Ummmmm! Its thick (unlike whey .. which is thin even after mixing it with milk) and yummy beyond your wildest dreams. Ok!!!! Am getting a bit carried away here. But this stuff is seriously tasty. I have tried 'Chocolate Peanut Butter' and 'Cookies and Cream' - and the former absolutely rules!!! Also after I started using it, I feel more refreshed in the morning after my 7-8 hr sleep. Maybe the body is getting better protein coverage at night through slow absorbing Casein. Only time will tell the real difference, but for now am happy with the fresh feeling that I have in the morning which also pushes me to workout better the next day. Go for ON Casein protein if you are seriously considering slow and steady muscle building. Of course, Whey protein (its a separate product) after workouts is also a must.

You don't even need a shaker for this! This is huge deal if you are using this for slow release protein before bed. I personally cannot be bothered cleaning a shaker before bed. This reduces the friction to increase your protein intake because it's so easy to mix with just a spoon. Even with a smaller amount of liquid. Amazing.

fantastic taste. delivered on time. highly recommend this product. request suppliers to provide smaller sachets of different flavors so customers can sample before purchasing 4lbs. most of the stock in Mumbai is between 2/4lbs. would be nice to try 1lb since it is available abroad. worth the investment!!!!

it looks genuine and must be because primarc pecan retail is authorized seller. as for the flavor well i think i would prefer chocolate because this peanut butter one got moist fast and its sticky little but only little still usable.
