Cool looking headphones with a very decent sound over a wireless connection. May be too big/non-foldable for travel.
It's a very early review as I got these headphones just today and was listening for about 3 hours. First of all, they look and feel gorgeous and imitates a classic studio monitor headphones with aluminum side panels - totally love this metal feel. The drawback is they are huge and not foldable, no case either. I would say they are great for home/office use and for air travel you may want something more compact. Comfort I would say it's 4.5, little less comfortable than HD 4.40 and little heavier. But still pretty comfortable for me. Sound The wireless sound (S8+ with Oreo 8.1/AptX + Tidal Hi-Fi/FLAC source) is decent, no hissing, separated mids/highs, the bass is present but not overwhelming (and I like it), a sound stage can be better but for a wireless headphone, it's more than ok. There is no ANC (which is good) but a passive noise isolation is very good. I haven't tried yet a Hi-Res audio over a wired connection. Anyway, these are the wireless headphones and if you plan to use them in a wired mode than you better look for a pro level wired-only headphones connected to a good amplifier — they will always sound better than ANY wireless headphones. So far I've tried at home three wireless over-the-ear headphones and found these Pioneer the best for me: 1. JBL Quincy Jones - total junk with a plasticky sound (~$140). Looks like garbage, fits awfully. Just avoid it. 2. Sennheiser HD 4.40 (~$100) - I wanted to love them — they look good (all plastic though), foldable, sits perfectly over the ears (comfort is 5+++) and sounds just beautifully ... over the wired connection. The wireless sound was a complete disappointment for me - bleak, occasional hissing and just bad overall. I tested on S8+ Nougat, maybe it was a problem with this combination. Got Oreo 8.1 update now which states to improve a wireless sound. 3. Pioneer - my choice so far. I also briefly tried Beats (no way) and Bose QC35 (sound is not better than Pioneers, I don't need ANC, looks utilitarian and they cost almost 4x more).

Solid pair of headphones at a great price
I do most of my listening through Sennheiser HD450s, but wanted something more portable to use when away from my desk at home. After spending hours reading reviews for models from Sennheiser, Pioneer, Audio-Technica and V-Moda, I ended up settling on these Bluetooth headphones from Pioneer, which seemed to strike a good balance between sound quality, price and other features. Now that I've had them for several days, I can say that I feel highly satisfied with the purchase. The sound profile, particularly in the lower frequencies, was at first somewhat underwhelming. Therefore I modified my player's EQ to slightly boost the lower frequencies and slightly attenuate some mid and higher frequencies. Thanks to that EQ "rebalancing," and probably also to my ears simply growing more accustomed to the headphones' sound, my initial impression has changed to something more favorable. I find that clarity is strong, the soundstage is surprisingly wide (with good separation of instruments), and vocals are crisp. They are very comfortable to wear and look luxurious. In addition, pairing with Bluetooth input is always fast. Recommended! 4.5 stars, rounded up to 5.

Long Lasting
I've had the headphones for 6 1/2 years. Bought them back in May of 2019 for around $90-$100. They're just starting to bite the dust and need replacing. As of a few days ago, I started to get sound in only one ear. Before that, these headphones worked beautifully. They've been looking pretty rough for the past year, with the leather/leather look peeling off of the cushions, but the performance has been perfect. They pair easily and quickly, have great bass and clear sound, and do a good job of cancelling noise. I came here to buy another of the same, but they aren't available anymore. Still thought I should leave a great review after having them for 6 1/2 years! If you find them elsewhere, I would recommend them!

Great Mid-Priced Over-The-Ear Bluetooth Headphones - Good for Big Ears
Note that this is not a noise canceling set of headphones, and is correctly described. The over the ear fit provides good sound isolation, but if you fly you probably need to get the noise canceling type. I did not want that type. I figured that by trading off the noise canceling feature I did not need that I would get better sound quality for the price - And I was not disappointed. I admit that my ears are large sized and I was concerned to get headphones that fully covered my ears for good comfort. As a bonus the headphones are not as heavy as I might have guessed from the size - They are quite comfortable. They seem appropriately sturdy - probably not military grade sturdy, but sturdy enough not to have to treat them gingerly. The sound clarity is very good to my ears. The bass is solid going all the way down in frequency without being obnoxiously over-accentuated as some headphones I have experienced are. The mid and treble is clear and the imaging is good (apariant ability to spatially locate the sound source in a well done recording) - That means the audio phasing is good across the frequencies. And one more thing I noticed and liked is that wearing the headphones the music seems to be around you and not originating inside your head - Many headphones and earbuds have the effect of making the sounds appear to be inside your head instead of around you. That is a positive. Please note that the inside the head verses outside the head effect depends on the source - For example John Mellencamp’s “Paper In Fire” sounds like I am in the room, but Crosby, Stills, Nash, and Young’s “Woodstock” sounds like it’s inside my head. The only negative is that the instruction sheet is awful. It is one of those one-sheet map-folded sheets with a reasonable sized picture on the front section and minuscule print in half a dozen languages referring to the one picture on the front with the parts and buttons labeled with numbers. If you are like me, you need a magnifier to read the English text about paring the headphones. I deducted one star for the miserable instruction sheet. Fortunately paring and use is not complicated.

If you want a solid, accurate set of headphones with Bluetooth 3.0, these are for you.
I like these headphones and I have owned plenty over my 60 years. They accurately reproduce music. They don't color it or add extra bass; that is the job of a frequency equalizer or bass booster. They sound a bit better directly plugged in with a 3.5 mm jack, but the Bluetooth sounds pretty damn good. I can detect the difference in the upper registers only. Connected by Bluetooth to my PC, I can walk around my townhouse and it stays connected upstairs and down. It has a metal housing and a solid metal attachment ear cup to the comfy headband. It is a little on the heavy side at just over 10 oz, but I'll take that trade off for durability. I had a lightweight pair of Sennheiser HD515 that felt & sounded great, but the all plastic design snapped at the ear cup attachment. If you want a solid, accurate set of headphones with Bluetooth 3.0, these are for you.

Love 'em!
These headphone sound very good as Bluetooth and have a great range. I use them at home in my home gym, I set my phone in one location and then go wherever I want on one floor(I have no need to try 2nd floor or beyond) to workout. I have a high priced connecting wire from Audioquest that I bought for a set of audiophile headphones and for those it brings them to a higher level of detail. I tried it on these headphones and the highs were so sharp in a bad way I could not stand it. But the included cable does just fine. The pads are very comfortable, but I have a weird shaped right ear that makes that pad not fit correctly so wear time is shorter for me. Pads are replaceable, just look up these headphones in the wired version and use that model number to buy replacement pads, they're the same shape and fit, everything.

Not worth the price
This is my second pair and both pairs of headphones stopped working as soon as I used the audio hard wire cable. In both case the left ear stopped working. I am very disappointed and would not recommend for the price. I could understand getting one dud device, but two devices with the same problem although they were purchased month apart leads me to believe the headphones are poorly made.

They are OK, but not amazing
I've bought a few pairs of bluetooth over ear headphones on amazon, and ended up returning all of them because I wasn't satisfied with them. I finally decided to settle with these headphones, but I'm still a little disappointed with them (compared to the Beats I've been using for the last 2 years). Pros -Good looking -Comfortable -Feels like they will last for a long time Cons -Battery life is not very good (compared to other modern over ear headphones) -No way to check battery level on the devices I use them with -Can't use them while charging -Max volume is quiter than I prefer in certain situations -Changing volume is tricky, especially if you want to get it exact. Usually I just use my phone to change the volume because doing it with the headphones requires you to press a button, hold it, and volume starts decreasing or increasing very quickly. -The play/pause/skip/change volume buttons rarely work properly on my 2018 macOS Mac Book Pro. Usually when I press one of the buttons, it affects the wrong apps. The reason why I am critical with the cons is because my last pair of over ear headphones were the Beats MCM Studio model (a fake Chinese version) and they had none of the problems these headphones have. I had virtually no complaints about them besides the problems with the hinges.

Headphones not charging anymore
Hi, I bought the headphones in July 2022 and all of a sudden they are not charging anymore. I have barely used them and they haven't been damaged at all. Simply one day they charge no more. What can I do? Is there a warranty by the seller?

Comfortable with good BT range.
I liked the comfort of this true Over-Ear model. Compared to the other same wired model I own, the sound is slightly degraded due to its BT connection. otherwise I had no issues and now I use them more often.
