Super slim! Even with all the crap I have ...
Super slim! Even with all the crap I have in it, it's a nice, flat, thin rectangle. The fad of "small" wallets that stack cards up don't make sense to me. That puts them all in one stack-- likewise "old style" wallets with the cards horizontal, that result in a lump 4-6 cards thick where they all overlap. This design spreads them out, gives you tons of room for cards and bills, and doesn't feel like sitting on a golf ball. Since it is a little wider (not thicker) it also doesn't rotate around in your pockets. 6 month update: It is wearing well, which is to say it's not wearing visibly. Looks as good as day one, the only exception being the little slimfold label, which frankly I don't care about other than when I am telling somebody they have to get one because it's fantastic. The card slots are no longer so tight that getting cards back in is hard, but they are plenty tight that cards stay put and do not fall out, ever. Recent business travel had me coming home with paper in my wallet I don't usually have- receipts for this and that, business cards, etc. I paid attention to how I put that stuff in there, and I did not come home with a lumpy George Costanza wallet. It was still nice and slim and uniform and comfortable in my pocket. April 2019 update. A few stitches failed. See pic. Email correspondence with the Slimfold folks was friendly and responsive, and they are taking great care of me. It's not a cheap wallet but it's the best one I've ever found and they stand behind it so well there's no need for me to ever spend another nickel on a wallet. ***FIVE YEAR UPDATE*** my slimfold is awesome. I just told a buddy today about them and it caused me to revisit this review. Best money you can spend on a wallet. Period. I have no complaints. The fabric is amazing. The pockets hold everything great. When the stuff carrier begins to overload it Iโm amazed at how much is in there, and we clean out the unnecessary stuff and repeat the cycle but through it all this wallet is the thinnest and the best. Hands down.

Incredible wallet, best we've ever had and a joy to use!
I don't often take the time to write reviews but this wallet deserves one. I found this via a search months ago when looking for a wallet for my spouse. I wanted something different from the standard bi-fold wallets he's had. Doesn't seem to matter what they are made of (genuine leather, ballistic nylon, cordura, etc) none seem to last - even high quality brands. The other issue these days is wallet thickness. With all the cards that one needs to carry, wallets seem to get thicker all the time (even if you use an app for all the "shopping discount cards" for groceries, etc). When I found the SlimFold Soft Shell, I was intrigued. I knew that softshell fabric used in high quality outdoor wear is extremely durable and thin. So that fabric, with the innovative card layout stuck in my mind. Although I looked and literally dozens more wallet companies over the past several months, when it came time to make a purchase, I decided to give the SlimFold a try. I'll be honest, the free Prime shipping and a $5 off sale at the time tipped me over the edge since I know Amazon has an easy return policy (which was important to me given this is a very different wallet design that I was giving for a gift). I needn't have worried. My spouse was intrigued with the wallet and initially liked it, though to be honest, you can't really tell what it's going to do for you until you actually switch over to it. A week or so after receiving it, he finally sat down to switch wallets and give it a try. To be honest, I don't think he was entirely sold on the different style up to this point and wasn't sure it was going to work for him. It took a short time figuring out how to stack the cards, and the best way to organize them but once he was finished, I knew we had a winner. He absolutely fell in love with it. I think the moment of no return was when he showed me that the new SlimFold wallet (with well over 20 cards, cash, etc) was THINNER with everything in it than the previous standard bi-fold wallet was completely EMPTY! I have to admit, anytime I have to grab the wallet out of his bag, I'm still shocked at how thin it is. There's nothing like it. The fabric and design holds onto the cards perfectly. I'm amazed at how secure everything feels yet it's super easy to remove and replace cards as needed. It's just so thin, even with all those cards! And we don't have to worry about having cards fall out, which is huge actually. No one wants the stress of wondering if a card may have fallen out of a wallet. Additionally, he likes the fact that it's waterproof. Just an extra bonus to keep cash etc in good condition and also makes the fabric more durable. The 5-Year warranty and the fact that it's make in the USA is icing on the cake! The other thing that he likes is the "cut" of the card slots. In addition to the ID section, there's enough of the other cards showing that at a place like Costco, he doesn't have to actually pull out the card since enough of it is seen while leaving it in place. Previously, he would try to find a bi-fold wallet with two ID slots to accomplish this. I wouldn't actually mind a second ID slot on this wallet, but for most cases, it isn't as necessary as on other wallet designs. The RFID is great to have and offers peace of mind with the chip cards that are now standard. I wouldn't consider purchasing a wallet without RFID protection now. He's been using the wallet for a few months now and I have to say, there is literally no visible wear at all. Now, this isn't yet a longevity/durability test at this point, but I've certainly seen many a wallet look beat up and heavily used in this amount of time. His SlimFold looks like it did coming out of the package. Given the quality of the fabric, I'm hopeful that it will continue to stay in pristine condition. It's not inexpensive. But, given the quality of the materials and workmanship, the design, durability, functionality, 5 Year Warranty, the fact that it's made in the USA, and the that I wanted a gift I felt good about giving, I felt it was worth it. After seeing it in use, I definitely agree. Yes, you can get less expensive wallets (even from SlimFold!) but is it really cheaper when you have to replace it much more often? My grandmother once told me that the purchase price of an item isn't the real cost. It's the cost per use (or wear, if clothing) that counts. So, an $8 shirt purchased on sale that you only wear a couple of times comes out at $4 per use. Whereas a $50 shirt that you absolutely love (that's also higher quality) and wear 200 times only costs $0.25 per use (or wear). This is an item that is worth the price for several reasons: 1) the cost per use will end up being low, given the longevity and durability of the materials as well as the the warranty and 2) the amount of joy that one gets from using such a high quality, well designed wallet also increases its value 3) the RFID ensures that our data is protected, which is a must with chip cards (and easy access to readers) 4) the materials and design hold cards and cash securely. A friend saw the wallet shortly after he received it and immediately asked where to get it. It's that unique and truly that slim. I cannot recommend this wallet enough. Great for yourself or great for a gift. Anyone will be amazed how much it will hold while staying so thin. Makes it super easy to get in and out of a pocket or bag. If SlimFold happens to see this I only have one recommendation: please make an additional wallet with the same design but adding a zipper pocket on the back of one side for coins. I think this would increase your customer base even more. In closing, this wallet is highly recommended! Buy it, try it. You'll love it.

Fantastic wallet!
I've used a trifold wallet for years. Although it was made of a heavier synthetic material, the seams, zipper (on an inner pocket for bills), and Velcro closure made the wallet bulky when closed - especially with some cash and numerous cards in it. Since retiring I wear cargo pants in the winter and cargo shorts in the summer exclusively and carry my wallet in one of the front/side leg pockets so as not to sit on it. When we travel in South America (we have family living there), I also carry a laminated copy of my passport in the same pocket with the wallet. With the old wallet, things didn't lie flat in the pocket (it was obvious I had something in the pocket) and the passport copy would frequently get folded over and creased. My new SlimFold Minimalist RFID Wallet holds two IDs (DL and military ID), two credit cards, two debit cards, several health policy cards and some cash and still folds flat and thin enough to not be noticeable in my pocket. It's also identical in size to the laminated passport copy so everything fits neatly in my pocket. The wallet, even with things in it, is extremely lightweight. My wife got so excited when she saw the wallet that she insisted I order her one to use in the small phone purse she carries. The phone purse (just big enough to hold a 6.6" phone in a protective case) has a divided, zippered compartment for her DL, military ID and credit card, but it's difficult to access the cards and cash down in the pockets. The SlimFold Minimalist wallet also fits perfectly in the zippered pocket in her phone purse and is easy to pull out to access her DL, cards and cash. We couldn't be happier with these purchases. The wallets are a bit pricey, but other reviews attest to their durability. I used my favorite LLM AI to research and the final response on this wallet was, "Buy once, cry once." We plan on using these wallets for many years to come.

Really solid and really thin
I placed my entire wallet contents ...and more into the SlimFold, and at 1/3 of the size of my original wallet! SlimFold is easier to remove from my pocket, holds both cards and cash and is lighter!! What a great find!

It's mostly a great improvement over my old leather wallet.
My leather wallet was also a double width so that when closed it was two credit cards wide, the same as this one. But loaded with cards it was almost twice as thick (32 mm vs 17 mm). Each time I pick it up I am amazed again at how thin and light it is. I have 20 cards in it, and it works, but I think it would be more convenient with a multi-page transparent card insert (** See Update Below**). However, that would probably add too much thickness unless it could be made out of some kind of very thin mylar. The way it is I can find and remove the card I want pretty easily as long as I remember where I put it. With a transparent sleeve it is immediately visible and easy to find. But if you only have 8 or so cards, this is perfect. (See update below) I also find the money slot a little tight. It's hard to spread it open far enough to scan through the bills and find the right one. And I also miss the divider in my old wallet that I used to separate 20s from 1s, 5s and 10s. It just made it more organized and convenient. But despite these missing features, I'm ready to give them all up for the convenience of such a thin wallet. Update: After a couple of weeks of use, I have some more impressions. It turns out I don't miss the transparent card insert. It's easy to find and remove the card I want. My only remaining complaint is that it doesn't open wide enough to scan through for the right bills. If I have a few 20s, 5s and 1s in my wallet and I want to pull out $6, I pretty much have to pull everything out of the wallet and shuffle through the bills in my hands. If the wallet opened a little wider, maybe had a little elastic at the edges, I could find the bills in the wallet. This sounds like a minor thing, but it is a little irritating. Still, every time I pick it up I marvel at how thin and light it is. 4 Month Update: Love it. Slim, feels really good in my hands. My brother got the Tyvek version. It's definitely thinner, but I like the feel and durability of this version. Showing absolutely no wear. 14 Month Update: Still looks new. The material wears incredibly well. My brother replaced his Tyvek version within 6 months, as it was showing lots of wear by then. I still love this one. Best wallet I've ever had. 4 Years Later: Still looks new! I'm sure if I held a new one next to it I would be able to see some changes, but it is not obvious. Corners, stitching, fabric, all pristine. It's a great wallet.

Great design, super thin and not too wide (compared to Allet and Flowfold)
I tried seven different thin wallets from Allett, Flowfold and SlimFold. This SlimFold Soft Shell wallet is the best one for me mostly because of the layout. It is great to quickly see four of your most used cards when you open the wallet. Less used cards are stored behind. In the billfold area, I store the various gift cards that I always forget that I have as well as a small stack of business cards. My work ID card is placed in the far right front slot so it is easy to remove and reinsert when needed for door swipes. A flick of the thumb up on a card removes it quickly. I was worried that this wallet may be too wide since it is a bit wider than a tri-fold. However, it fits all of my pants and shorts with room to spare. Fully loaded, this wallet is thinner than my old wallet when it is completely empty. This is a pricey wallet, but it should last many years and is a joy to use every day. Here are other wallets that were compared: Allet Ultra Slim: Ultra Slim Original Wallet - Black Flowfold Slim Trifold: Flowfold Slim Front Pocket Trifold Wallet Allett makes thin wallets, but the cards slide to the center of the wallet instead of up which makes them harder to remove and reinsert. Also, the cards are not held in place as well as the Allett wallets. It is hard to explain, but the fabric and cutout of the SlimFold Soft Shell wallet grips the sides of the cards and holds them in place. The Allett is more baggy fabric and thus requires a tacky strip inside the wallet to hold the cards which makes them a little more difficult to remove and replace. Flowfold makes great wallets, but they don't hold as many cards. Also, the edge trim on the wallets make them thicker than the SlimFold Soft Shell wallet.

A better design!
True to its description this is a very thin wallet. I carry 6 CC's , DL, business cards, health card, receipts and money and this wallet remains 1/2 the thickness of my old leather wallet. The position of the CC holders is more efficient and protects them better. The fabric is very durrable and simple. My leather wallet looked great but performed bad and was 2x as thick. The SlimFold performs great and looks good,,,not great,, but good. The SlimFold is a better design. The only issue I have had to date is the wallet is a 1/2" longer than a standard bi-fold so my rear pockets with buttons dont button. To me that is a minor issue. I recommend this wallet.

This wallet lives up to its name!
I have been using my Slimfold Minimalist Wallet for about three weeks now. I purchased it because my old wallet was simply too big, and, while I could remove some cards, a significant number needed to stay. I looked around, and the Slimfold wallet, while rather expensive, seemed like a good fit. So far, it holds all the cards I need it to hold (18 or so), and it's about as thick as my old wallet is empty! Also, it is very easy to carry with me everywhere, no bulges! The wallet, being two cards wide when closed (four cards wide when open), easily holds 16 cards. I placed one in each of two slots in each of the four front locations (easily accessibile, including one location where the card is almost fully visible), and two in each of four slots in the back. I have some other cards placed sideways in the center pocket, because they are too large (anything larger than a standard credit card won't fit in the slots). With all the cards in it, plus some bills, it is about 0.71 inches thick (just less than 3/4 of an inch), or 1.8cm for those who prefer metric. I have not tested the RFID blocking capability (not sure how to test that!). So far it is showing no signs of wear. Definitely recommended.

Slim is the keyword!
Really like my purchase. While expensive, it is well manufactured and of high quality. The design allows for 4 stacks of cards for an overall thinner wallet. Plus the material usedis also as thin as it comes. What it doesn't feel is luxurious as in fancy Italian leather. But it's great and practical design! Highly recommended!!

Thin, durable yet can hold a dozen credit cards and more!
I love that this wallet is quite thin as well as having enough pockets to hold a dozen or more credit/debit etc cards. The pocket for paper currency is quite deep and can be used to hold other sundry items as well; parking stubs for example. Iโve been using this walker for approximately 5 months and the only feature I wish it had was an additional shallower pocket that could be used for paper currency. The current pocket is fine, but is likely more suited for larger sized bills. However, this is a minor issue, and I highly recommend this wallet.
