This final book in Debra Driza's exhilarating MILA 2.0 series is perfect for fans of books filled with suspense and imagination, like The Bourne Identity and Legend , and it will surprise and thrill readers to the very end. Mila has been running for her life for so long. But that was before she betrayed Hunter, the boy she'll always love, and before she discovered she was an incredible danger to anyone who dares to get close to her. Now she's gone into hiding with friend and tech expert Lucas. But when Mila discovers that her enemy General Holland is an even bigger threat to humanity than she is, she must make a choice: either push aside her fears and fight him with everything she's got . . . or turn her back on the world forever. Review: This book really takes some unexpected turns! - I was very surprised about everything in this story. Mila ends up in situations, and with feelings and decisions that I didn't see coming, but it all makes sense in the end. Wonderful trilogy! Review: wonderful series... not so good end. - truth be told I loved the seires, I brought the first one at a $1 store! it's similar to the shattered series by Robin westermen. a young girl who isn't all that human, but who wants to be more then anything! the book leaves off were the 2nt book ended. with Lucas and MILA on the run from the gentral and the testing lab. the book was well written and I had done within two days! what?> I need to sleep! ah. it was good up until the end... the gentral got his end.. but I feels very similar to the ending of the shattered aka skinned book seires by Robin westermen. I feel like there could have ben another way... that's why I put 4 stars, I still feeling like there could be more to come from this book series.. maybe a novella or something.

There are bad things that Mila has to face and recover from
I've had almost 24 hours to process my feelings towards this book and I'm still not sure I'm ready. This was one of the most emotional and shocking endings to a series that I've ever read. I really don't want to give any spoilers, I don't even want to hint at anything, so this review will be purely my emotions and feelings about the book. When you start this book the feeling is optimistic. There are bad things that Mila has to face and recover from, but for me, I started out hoping that there would be a light for her. A way to end the struggle she's been going through and truly find happiness. Moving forward with the novel, I found myself caught up in the adventure and the nervousness that goes along with what Mila and Lucas are trying to accomplish. The group of allies move forward trying to finish what they started, which is stopping Holland. They find leads and dig into them full force trying to make sure people are safe from this monster. Throughout the book you will have ups and downs, emotions will run wild as you feel everything along with Mila. There will be broken hearts. It's unavoidable. But I think the writing was, once again, excellent. I think the story progressed in the way it needed to and while certain parts made me angry and sad, I know why the author chose to go that direction. If you've been a fan of the series, I'm sure you will have mixed emotions at this final book, but you should definitely read it.

A bit disappointing
First off, I need to start by saying that my 14-year-old son LOVED the first two books in this series. He read them both several times while waiting for the final book to come out (and for me to get my butt in gear and buy it for him, since he’s not really so up on release dates). So, I should have suspected that something was amiss when he was in the middle of reading this final book and he set it aside for several days. When I asked him about it, he said he’d forgotten about it. I guess bells and whistles should have been going off in my head, but he is fourteen and fickleness kind of comes with the teenage boy territory sometimes, right? Anyway, after he finished it, he told me I had to pick it up right away so that we could talk about the ending. That got my hopes up a bit more. But then I started reading and I was mostly … bored. It just seemed like nothing was really happening in this installment of the series. Mila was trying to solve the mystery of who burned down her house and really killed Sarah, but the answer seemed relatively obvious and I couldn’t bring myself to care. There was a bit of a love triangle thrown in between Hunter and Lucas. It had been a while since I’d read the other two books in the series, but I vaguely remembered liking both of them in their own ways. I was pretty much fine and happy with the way the romance turned out in this book, so that was good, but it just sort of lacked something. The last quarter of the book picked up a lot and got much more interesting, I will admit. And then there was the ending. Wow—well, I could see why my son needed me to finish so he had someone to talk to about it because … yeah. I just don’t know what to think about the ending. Mostly, though, I think I’m not a fan. Overall, I was pretty disappointed with this one. I give the book 2/5 Stars.
