Great for plug and play!
We bought this item for a 2000 Honda Accord. The stock speakers were still good and we weren't looking to blow the doors off so we wanted a double din stereo that would plug in easily and offer the following upgrades: Bluetooth for audio Bluetooth phone connection XM compatibility This offers all three and works very well. The sound is good through the stock speakers, but don't expect miracles. We dropped it in the car in am afternoon and everything looks great and works great. Love the flexibility of colors to match existing interior and the CD player is nice in case we need to go "old school" and use one of those relics. Here are some bits of advice. 1. Buy a wiring harness that will plug directly into your cars existing wiring. Metra makes these and you can buy on Amazon. (Buy a box of 20-22 gauge butt connectors at the hardware store and a crimper for connecting the stereo to the harness.) 2. Buy a mounting bracket for your car. It will not look professional with out it. Metra makes these and you can order on Amazon. 3. Buy a USB and audio plug that can be mounted in the dash or console for a professional look. The USB and aux audio plugs are in the back. So, unless you want wires hanging out of the dash to connect your phone, this is a must. (This is a little more invasive as you have to drill a hole to mount the plug in. We put ours next to the power outlet in the center console and it looks great!) 4. Buy an XM antenna. You have to have one to listen to Sirius XM. The tuner will manage the XM signal and will tune into the stations, but you need the XM antenna to hook into the head unit. (Watch some videos on installation to determine the best way to get the wire from outside of the car through the dash. We used the front column of the car and fished the wire through the dash after taking out the instrument panel.) 5. Watch some videos on how to get the microphone for bluetooth calling in a location you like and get the wire to the head unit. 6. Check Crutchfield for the hardware needed specifically for your make and model. The items described in #1 & #2 are very vehicle specific. Crutchfield wI'll tell you the exact models you need.

AWESOME!
This thing is awesome. In some of the reviews it talks about the Bluetooth range being bad. I have noticed that a little bit if you step out of the vehicle, but I'm not listening to music unless I'm in it, so that doesn't matter to me. The features of this are fantastic! It works with aftermarket back up cam, Pandora, Bluetooth, Spotify, XM, ACC, etc... The ONLY thing I wish it stated in the description, is that if you had XM radio in your factory stereo, and want to continue to use it, you'll need to buy an add-on to make it work. It won't just hook up and play. (I'm still trying to figure out what exactly I need for mine.) Other than that, it has tons of options for customizing it to your vehicle. It's nice and bright, and looks like it was meant to be there. Great "on screen" layout and screen options. My 2012 Dodge Ram has the "pale green" lights on all the other stock indicators like the A/C heated seats etc... So I was able to manually pick a color of the spectrum to match my other dash lights to make it look like it was made to be there. I couldn't get any closer to a "factory" looking head unit. I love it! (Sorry for the crappy pictures, It's not "FULLY" mounted in these pictures, and kind of dirty. But it looks really sharp in person) I've been doing aftermarket stereo's in my vehicles for the past 20 years, and this is the best one I've had so far for usability, function-ability, price, and factory sleek look. Couldn't be happier.

Works very well, looks amazing and Pandora/Spotify software is great
Seems to be working well, no glaring issues and it looks great in my dash. There are a ton of settings and color options for the display. The Pandora and Spotify options on this radio offer further access to your music and display cover art whereas Bluetooth only shows the song and artist title. This is my first aftermarket head unit so I don't know how this one stacks up against others, but this one has everything an average music listener (like me) needs and the Amazon price was very competitive. I wired and installed this myself in my dash in lieu of paying some shop to do it for me. I didn't have any trouble wiring it up and I've never done anything like this before, I just had to watch a bunch of youtube videos that explained the wiring and install process. Quality deck with some small issues
So I've had this deck in my car for about 3 weeks now and I do really like this deck. The screen is great, and the interface is very intuitive. The buttons on the bottom are very useful, and provide just enough feedback without being to loud. There are tons of aux out and the sound quality is good. There is an equalizer built in and it provides tons of customization. Overall I would absolutely purchase this again. There a few issues that I've had, and a couple things I'd like to see in the next years model. First off, the wires were not labeled (there is a diagram in the instructions) and this would have been helpful when wiring it together with the harness for my car. I also would like to see larger gauge wires in the harness. These were incredibly thin, 18-20 gauge, and even for stock speakers will be a major cause of resistance. The sound performance didn't increase, and I believe that's because in part of the small gauge wiring. Also, depending on your application, you should definitely check the motorization before closing up the dash. If it's recessed at all the bottom can get caught on any lip while in movement. I had some room for adjustment so I was able to pull it apart and raise it in the mount an eight of an inch. The last is that the antennae input is on the opposite side of most decks, so expect purchase an extension if your antennae cable comes from the passenger side of the car. Other than that it's a good deck for the price and I'll buy one for my father, who has the same car.

The 7" screen is nice!
The unit arrived on time and my grandson and his friend installed it in my 23 year old Silverado that I recently purchased. I had already purchased an aftermarket bezel with a larger opening for the double din and wiring adapter is required, but other than that it is plug and play. I love the 7" screen, the remote, CD player and bluetooth to my phone. With the new speakers front and rear and a 10" slim box sub woofer with integral amp, this system is awesome!!

love it, great deck
Install was a breeze in my 2011 Mazda3 Sport i got a kit on here also that included the wiring harness and dash panel trim plenty of youtube videos on how to install. I also picked up the microbypass on here also, again, plenty of videos on youtube. I did get a backup camera license plate kit, but didn't feel comfortable drilling my bumper so took it to a stereo shop for install - charged me $75 bucks. Overall, totally worth the price. took my car from the stone ages to bluetooth autoconnect, a backup camera. not only aux, but also usb input that plays not only mp3 but also plays video mp4 files. CD and DVD capability. The deck works great, different color themes to match your interior dash lighting theme. Things I like about the deck. My phone connects automatically to bluetooth. I also have a youtube red account, and i use youtube almost exclusively for music and podcasts, so when i get in my car, bluetooth connects automatically and whatever i was listening to autoplays and continues playing through the deck. The deck also comes with an interior microphone for calls, I mounted mine right above the steering wheel just below the speedometer. I also had my backup camera installed so the power for the camera is coming from auxiallary power, while the deck was wired to the reverse light for a trigger. that allows me to take advantage of the backup camera auto on feature when i shift into reverse, and also having the ability while I am parked to just turn my key to accessory and using a feature on the deck, turn on monitor view to see whats going on behind me. this feature also comes in handy when driving on the freeway. If you hook up your backup camera as ive detailed, you can turn on monitor view on the deck while you are driving, music continues playing, but now you can see your blindspots on driver and passenger sides. it works really well. I also like the usb feature, I have a 256 gb usb stick i loaded with study material, recorded webinars, and I can play audio video right off the usb stick. Phone calls work really well, phone rings, you can answer by directly touching the screen answer button.

Good stereo but weak bluetooth signal, radio RDS text too short, no sticky "source off or mute icon". Had outdated firmware.
Good product, nice audio control with 13 band equalizer. With automatic level control, loudness and lots of audio control. Audio quality wise, pioneer stereo is warmth. While my stock toyota entune stereo is soft, I think partly because my stock HU had severely tweaked vocal frequency. But 3 star since unit had outdated firmware, its outdated even from older models. Also the bluetooth had a very weak signal. You have to be very close, almost in the front seat for the unit to detect your bluetooth device. Tried with different phone and its the same, while the same phone connected instantly to a different car parked 2 spaces far. Pioneer had no update on the bluetooth issue. Very disappointing. Also the radio RDS text information is so cramped in space, where they could have used the full 640 pixels screen or close to it. No mute icon on screen and no mute button. Mute is very important in case of immediate road attention. Resistive screen is not good at all. But with this price point, pioneer had to make some money. Cheap china products use capacitve touch screen already. But not buying china knock off's due to reliability and support issues. Overall not a bad buy but ok at this price point. ...wish minor issues with the bluetooth, RDS text info will be fixed and add a "source off or mute icon on the screen would be good to have. A sticky "source off or mute icon" would be nice, placed above the "sources" pull down menu.

More than happy
Great head unit. I'm using the FM, USB and BLUETOOTH for media playback and works perfectly. Calls sound clear on both sides. The built-in crossover, equalizer (13 band), listening position and time alignment in the sound settings produces Quality sound. I've also connected a rear view camera and it works great, with the additional feature of turning on your camera without being in reverse. Just sweet. This is a great unit with a lot more features than I can use and also at a good price.
