I got this kit recently for my 11 yo niece who is really interested in learning magic. This is her first set and we were really impressed with how many things came with this set when we unboxed it together. Instead of a DVD, there's a link to the website where you can view the video to learn the tricks. It looks like the section described by the other reviewer was edited out, which I was glad to see that Fantasma addressed that issue. My niece is really into this and is working on learning all the tricks and her confidence is growing. I love how in depth the manual is and the magician poster was a cool bonus. Looking at getting a couple more of these for some of my friends' kids as I know they'll have a blast with everything that's included here. Fun opening a whole new world of things, especially while we're all so isolated. Lots of time to learn all of what's included here. Definitely recommend!

Our grandson was “over the moon”. We gave him a different Magic Set several years ago! He was so excited to learn so many Magic Tricks!

I am familiar with most of the tricks in this kit. I discovered some problems. There are loose pieces of cardboard I am not sure what their purpose are. The Chinese sticks were messed up because one of them was not set up. The two tricks involving boxes seem to not work. I have similar versions of them and know how they are done. Finally, the trick involving making a coin appear in a cup, the coaster that is part of the secret allows people to see how it works. Having said all of this, I still found some value in this product and chose to keep it. I suspect it was probably used and should have been checked out before being resold. I am an amateur magician and have some experience with magic. I would advise anyone who buys a magic kit to have basic knowledge of magic tricks.

This magic set comes with tricks galore and fairly simple, cheap accessories that make it hard to perform some of the tricks. The cheaply made playing cards stick to each other yet a simple plastic coating would have made them more usable. Don't think about substituting your own though as these are a bit smaller than a regular deck (and contain various trick and duplicate cards). A sliding box sticks together, and no matter how one tries to leverage the thumb and forefinger on the corners to slide it open, well, the thing stays stuck. Most props work for now but their durability is seriously in doubt. The problem is that most tricks take a fair amount of practice. There are no shortcuts, despite how much the wildly over-the-top packaging and artwork suggest. Many kids will lose interest before most accessories break those who stay the course will inevitably have to replace these props pretty soon. All in all, this kit is OK for the novice as long as he or she has someone around to help figure out the less-than-clear instructions and to serve as the amazed spectator.

My 9 yr old son has recently taken up a liking for magic, so finding an age appropriate magic set was difficult. I came across this set and it had a large variety of tricks and didn't seem too kiddy. Once we got the item, I was pleasantly with the quality. The guide book is very detailed making for easy learning. It also comes with a poster and the storage box is very strudy. My son loves it!

I bought this mostly for the production box and for the other trick MOST magic kit do not have. Don't get me wrong it is a great set but the production box was not made that well I had to glue everything and tape everything on the box back together and it still does not work well luckily I can build a much better one for under 20 dollars out of wood. In all this is a great magic trick with easy things to do I totally recommend it.

i bought this magic set to preform these tricks for my niece i have to say this set is very high quality the illussion box is made of thick hard card board like a board game board ,the front has a felt cover where the door hinges all the props are very nice indeed there was only one prop that is delicate and that is the plastic card trick box but the rest is very durable, the props are so nice that it could be used by a trained magician that preforms at christmas party's birthday party's ect..... Richard
