Bought this to replace one that the Feed Store carried, and chickens had stopped eating. They took only a couple of days before they were happily eating this as their main food, with just some table scraps and cracked corn for treats. Egg production is back to previous levels. Seems like a winner.

My laying ducks gobble this up

Not much to say other than my chicken ate it! Came in pellet form. Didn't notice any strong smell or scent. This was pretty expensive compared to the feed I normally buy but I was in a pinch this time.

I don't usually buy chicken feed online, however, I couldn't get to the TSC to get more and Amazon was convenient. My birds loved it so I bought more. It smelled "off" when I opened it but I thought maybe I was mistaken about this bag not smelling like the first. Then, four of my girls wouldn't eat and I couldn't get over that smell; almost putrid. I have a sick bird I've been trying to nurse back to health and this food made it worse. She's blind and underweight so she just grabs at whatever I put in front of her. I gave her this spoiled food for two days before I finally listened to my gut and tossed it. Some of the pellets were a strange pink color. It didn't look or smell like that the previous month. I really noticed how off it was when I wet it for my sick girl. I felt like a jerk feeding her rotten food for two days. It aggravated her crop issues and gave her diarrhea. I want to state that I did not contact Amazon about the rotten food, I just didn't have time with trying to care for a sick bird. It was easier to just buy new food from tractor supply. That is why I didn't take away more stars because I didn't give them an opportunity to rectify the situation. Just a word of caution: be aware of how your chicken food smells and what it is supposed to look like. Spoiled food can be deadly to your birds.

I bought this for my European Starling since she requires some bird layer food and she loves it! She can't get enough of this and always eats these pellets first. The bag is big and definitely worth the money.
