High quality tool
I started using these connectors recently and this crimper does a great job with little effort. It feels very solid and well made. There are separate slots for each size wire/connector so the final connection feels very solid.

A must-have for Anderson Power Pole or similar style connectors!
These are quick and easy to use for any size wire you'd be using for up to a 30 amp connection. I have a friend who refuses to buy any and just smashes the connectors down with a pair of pliers, and maybe it works fine, but it looks like it was done by a neanderthal. These crimp the wire in securely, and I don't feel the need to add to it with solder or anything. I am certain that once the wire has been put into the connector and crimped properly, it will not come out or loosen. Plus, it looks neat and tidy! From that point of view alone I'm happy with them. Anderson style 'power pole' connectors have become the de rigueur standard for amateur radio folks, and I've also really grown to like them for easy assembly and ease of use. These crimpers are a must have, even if you only do a few a year.

Excellent Inexpensive Crimpers for Powerpoles
I am an amateur radio operator and Anderson Powerpoles are a pretty standard power connector for radio equipment. I wanted to have the ability to make my own cables at home, and discovered you needed a special die to do Powerpoles. I looked around to find a die that matched my other crimpers, but couldn't find one. That's what led me to these crimpers. They are only for Powerpoles and work very well for that (by the way, I tested to see if the dies from these crimpers would fit in my other crimping frame, and they do not. The jaw clearance is wider on these crimpers than on my other ones). As for how they work, the answer is very well. I was able to knock out about a dozen crimp connections in fairly short order and they all crimped perfectly and fit snugly into their housing. Once put into service, they worked flawlessly. The guides help to ensure you are crimping in the correct spot each time. I have only used the genuine Anderson Powerpoles (as most people advised doing), so I cannot comment on how well they work on some of the imitation powerpoles out there. These crimpers are way cheaper than the official ones sold by Anderson, and somewhat cheaper than some of the other frames I have seen recommended by other hams. I have not used the other crimpers, but will say I have no desire to, as these work great! I highly recommend them if you are looking to make your own Powerpole connectors and are want to save some money on the crimping tool.

Tool works great, once you figure out how to use it.
The crimping tool is great. It works well and holds the contact pin steady during the crimping process. Resulting connections are secure and take little effort. The only drawback is that instructions for a newbie are not great, and just a couple of simple drawings on how to orient the pins in the crimping tool would have helped to speed things up. As it was, I had to go sit through a tedious Youtube video to get to the information that I needed. As for the connectors that come with the crimping tool, they taught me a few things. First, they taught me to only buy genuine Anderson Powerpole connectors, and, second, they taught me why some people purchase roll pins to secure the connectors housings. Anderson connector housings are made so that separating dovetailed housings takes some effort. The connectors that came with the crimping tool won’t stay together unless they are either plugged into another pair or secured some other way (I didn’t have roll pins, so I used a touch of cyanoacrylate glue). If you’re new to the Powerpole type design, these are fine for practice, and the resulting lesson was valuable. These connectors are not commodity. So, I’ll purchase actual Anderson connectors in the future.

Works great
This wire crimping tool for Power Pole connectors really works good. Much easy to crimp with than the other crimper I have. The other crimper took all my power to squeeze with my old hands, while this crimper's ratching method was easy with the same terminals and same wire.

permette cablaggi perfetti

Anderson Power Pole Crimper - Solid Value
Purchased this iCrimp Anderson ratchet crimper on December 02, 2025 for $34.99. Short Version: Reliable & Consistent, Easy to Use, Great Value, Well Made. Long Version: I needed a spare Anderson crimper to make hundreds of Power Pole connectors in the field. I couldn’t justify spending hundreds of dollars for another (Anderson, Greenlee, Paladin, Ideal) as it was for my daughter who was completing DIY Project. I took a gamble with low expectations that a $34.99 tool would offer the same reliable performance as the others I had on hand. Surprisingly, this crimper has continued to make solid crimps without issue after 500+ cycles. The fit and finish is average and not even close to the name brands I rattled off. But, it doesn’t need to be a prom Queen it just needs to work! If you’re looking for a low cost budget Anderson Power Pole crimper this iCrimp meets that goal. It’s reliable, consistent, and easy to hold and use. There’s no excuse to use a random crimper (NOT) designed to crimp Anderson Power Pole connectors as you often see low IQ DIY often use! No regrets thus far but will circle back in a year after tens of thousands of cycles have been put on this tool.
