Best media separator value for the money
This thing is rugged, worth every cent - and it works very well. I discovered a common plastic grocery bag will fit under this bag very easily. Bat's handles fit nicely over the separator's handles. Dump your media and brass into separator and shake. Be sure to do a bit of the ol 'Chef's flip' to roll brass and ensure they're all emptied. Voila! In short order, all your media is in the bag, all your brass in the separator. Easy to pour brass into a box and unload media back into your tumbler. IMHO, easier and more effect than the more expensive 'rotary' type that requires a dedicated bucket, as well as cutting into the bucket. Would recommend to anyone using organic media in a brass tumbler.

Very useful
Because I use and recycle a corncob based cleaning medium, this filter has been extremely useful. It fits perfectly into standard 5 or 3 gallon buckets and does a great job of filtering brass and medium without damaging the brass. This is a must-have for reloaders. So glad I bought it.

Why did you pick this product vs others?: works as it should i recommend this to anyone using media or stainless steel pins to clean cases.

Well worth the purchase.
It's bigger than I thought but it definitely works well. Prior to buying this I was using "kitty litter separator" hand shovels. This works much better but you'll need a 5 gallon "utility" bucket to mount it on. I got my bucket at the local Home Depot. Either way it really helped reduce the mess from the media used in the tumbler that I had to shake out every time. Priced cheap, well made, solid, separates well.

Does exactly what it should - without costing you a lot of money.
After researching a wide range of alternative methods for separating media, I found a common theme was cheap plastic breaking off of moving parts, or cheap metal pieces breaking and getting lost. I realized that while the "Bingo" style tumblers might be more efficient at first, they might lack longevity ... unless I was willing to shell out (pun intended) more money. This item may require a little more "work" on your part, if you consider shaking something back and forth for 60 seconds to be "work". I've gotten best results by putting this over a clean 5-gallon bucket and rolling it around in a circular motion followed by up-and-down shakes. Things work themselves out really quickly and I never have to worry about breaking anything. Of course, if you're in your 90's and have a degenerative shoulder or elbow condition, your results may vary. Then again, if that's the case you probably shouldn't be reloading or shooting your own ammunition! For everyone else (and for the money), this can't be beat. Pros: K.I.S.S. Nothing to break (unless you're an 800 lb. gorilla) No small parts to lose Inexpensive Does exactly what you need it to Can double as a nifty hat Cons: No bells and whistles Does not work well for straining spaghetti

Works great and is just as good as the salad spinner I got from the second hand store 8 years ago.

Vibratory Tumbler for brass cases.
Inexpensive vibratory tumbler, but I have been extremely happy with them.

Robust, effective sieve. Makes separating cases from media a cinch.
Up until now I've simply plunged my gloved hands into the tumbling media to scoop out brass cases. This is slow, messy, and sometimes doesn't get every case out of the tumbler. Enter this gadget. It's made of robust, chunky plastic and fits perfectly over the top of a 5 gallon bucket. I just pour out the contents of the timbers bowl into the sieve, give it a few gentle shakes, and all the media not stuck in cases drops into the bucket. Quick and easy, and I know I've got every case out of the bowl. I can then pick the cases one by one from the sieve, tap out the media, and sort them at my leisure. Very handy. The only improvement I'd like to see is the sieve openings being slightly smaller. The current sized holes will catch pretty much any caliber one would want to reload, but .22LR cases will slip through and land in the bucket. I don't reload .22LR, of course, but it often gets mixed into miscellaneous brass I pick up from the range and it'd be nice to keep it from falling back into the bucket of media.

Works perfect
This was exactly what I was after. Fits a standard 5 gallon / 20 litre pail and makes quick work of seperating my brass from media. An inexpensive item that works extremely well, would recommend to anyone thinking of getting one.

Very good quality, sturdy & fits over a 10 l bucket perfectly!
This item exceeded my expectations. I had thought it would be more flimsy, but this is certainly not the case. Very happy with it.
