I think they are about even with the whitening. I like brushing my teeth the best. If you want extra you could use the pen. It really depends on what you want out of it. Younger people want to keep their teeth really white , so the toothpaste and the whitening pen would be a good combo. I hope this was helpful

Q: Is this very abrasive? Doesn't abrasive toothpastes wear the enamel down?

After 2 weeks of use and using the toothpaste twice a day my teeth are noticeably whiter. My teeth are 55 years old!
