Ascent Casein Protein Powder, Micellar Casein Isolate, Vanilla Bean, 2 lb

Some reviewers mention this being too sweet. I would disagree. The vanila flavor and sweetness is spot on. The bag packaging is not great for me. I move the powder into an old container. The powder is very fine and will make a mess if you are not super careful. But I would still give this product 5 stars. Tasty and a great bedtime casein shake. I am pretty sure this product's ingredients are all made in USA, but that info is not very prominent, which I would think it should be if that is true.

Subtle vanilla taste and not too sweet. If you have texture issues this may not work for you. It thickens quickly and gets to a pudding/custard state if you take too long to drink it. I add water a bit at a time to finish the last of it.

I really wanted to like this as a protein shake, but...it’s pretty gritty. Like vanilla flavored mud. However, it makes great pudding. I added coconut aminos and it was even better. Add frozen fruit, or yogurt, etc. you get the idea.

Switched to this in a search for replacement from kaged case in Product ingredients seem fairly clean Taste is off a bit so I add a small scoop of vanilla whey to make up for it I mix with warm water and it blends well Will stick with this brand unless I find something better I feel like it helps to drink casein at night

I had this bag for about a year and tried adding to a few different things and making the pudding. Nothing really that made me say "this is good!". But this past winter I have been adding it to my oatmeal to amp up the protein. The scoop is fairly large, so I am only using about half a scoop, but I really do like the taste in my oatmeal. I used to add a little bit of milk, but now with the Ascent Casein Protein Powder added I no longer add milk. I think it adds a nice little creaminess and taste to the oatmeal. I like it added to plain oatmeal better than some of the higher protein oatmeal packs that I have tried and I can control the added sugar by not using the prepacked individual packs of the higher protein oatmeals I have tried.

After mixing this casein powder with 8oz water, it is undrinkable due to its ultra thick consistency (thick as yogurt). I contacted Acsent in regards to this and they responded that that is normal with casein protein. I’ve been taking casein protein from several other brands and never had this issue. If you want to chew your protein drink, buy this!

I mix the vanilla with chocolate milk and it comes out almost like pudding. You must like pea proteins as a flavor to enjoy this as it’s very noticeable.
