The main difference is that the Hydrowhey is a hydrolyzed protein, meaning the long chain polypeptides are enzymatically broken down into smaller peptides (likely di- and tri-peptides which are then more efficiently and completely digested and absorbed in the small intestine. Pros: More efficient absorption. Quicker absorption. Cons: Higher cost.My personal experience is that I can consume full serving, 30 grams, of this protein and have no GI difficulties e.g. excessive flatulence. Whenever I take full serving of a regular whey protein =or> 30grams I get some GI issues. I rarely take a full serving though. I shoot for 20 grams per serving, that works best into my lifestyle and extends the life of the product. I feel that 20grams of this product equates to 30-40grams of standard proteins. Professionally, I believe it makes a much better pre- and post workout addition than others. Adding some chocolate syrup to promote blood sugar spike and insulin response post workout is a total benefit.

I have this product but it is expired! should I use it or but the new one? it has been expired for 4 months!

I first purchased this product back in 2014 or 2015. Got about half way through it, then packed it up and moved. 5 years later, just now getting back into lifting, and found the container I purchased 5 years ago or so. It was well past expiration, tasted just as good as I remembered it, and I feel fine.

I've since repurchased it, and the new stuff tastes just the same. I wouldn't worry about 4 months.

I see few people have asked the same question: Does this have lactose? I'd like to add that on the back it says product contains milk, so...

It has added lactase enzyme, which breaks down lactose. Wiki it. It’s the same enzyme added to “lactose free” milk. You should not have any issues with this product if you’re lactose intolerant.
